Joseph,
If original F1 works but F2 is crashing it might be a problem with the Rasteriser (check box option in GEM). If I remember correctly F2 won't work with Open GL but is fine with Open GLv2. If you don't have an option for Open GLv2 then you'll have to download it.

I was just in Practice on Tulin F2  and got spun and didn't realize I was going the wrong way and I got DQ for Reversed Track in freaking PRACTICE.

Is that normal??

(Sorry to the guy I hit in the Red Ferrari)

lol, yes Joseph. If you go the wrong way you WILL be DQ'd by GPL

On some circuits it is very easy to get confused, but you develop a 6th sense about the correct direction eventually. Plus of course the more laps that you do the familiar you will become with the circuit. The other alternative is not spinning or crashing  Roll Eyes but we all find that solution Grin

BTW this track is seriously bumpy on the main straight!! on my PC all of the cars are flying 30cm off the road!!! Aerodynamics and ground effect are not working !!!

arrrrrggghhh... Well I made it to the Main race, and some Yahoo spun out and flipped on the green flag start on the Main Straight and I didn't see him until it was too late and  hit him   and was out of the race too!!!!!

So after all of my work to get GPLf2 working and IGOR, ii  got a DNF on the openning flag....

Well thanks for the info....lol Grin

Joseph, as this was a "fun" race you could have pressed    "Shift + R"   and reset your car. which would have allowed you to continue the race.

Hope we see you back on track soon , keep an eye on the forum for other fun races over the next weeks.  Wink

I had great fun driving this circuit...a new one for me, but the bumpy straight was a little too realistic I felt. The smoother parts of the track were great and as i got more used to the track I found that I could really push hard through some bends and find huge chunks of time.
In fact the time I was gaining, when I got a corner nailed, seemed enormous, far more than the apparent extra speed that I was carrying. But the main straight  Undecided that bumping caused me to miss my braking point far too often, so I ended up slowing too early just to be sure of making the tight apex at T1. I wonder if anyone else found it so distracting?

Pinching pole in the last seconds was fun  Grin and I was looking forward to a tight race as the times at the front were very close. I did not save the replay but there was obviously some exchanging of paintwork samples going on and many cars were victims. I ended up way off the circuit with no wheels and a long wait before I could Shift-R and even when I rejoined there were still cars still bouncing off each other!! lol

I was hoping that I might be able to catch the leading pack and join in the fun but basically I was overdriving and missing braking points and apexes far too often to have a hope of catching anything except a haybale!!

Grats to the podium guys, at least I enjoyed the chase  Grin

If we use this circuit again I might dump the update, if that is what produces the bumpy surface. It might be more realistic, but I'm afraid I found it a big distraction...and my teeth are still rattling!

I am 100% with you!

The replay you will get here

I couldn't avoid the start crash and found myself again at the rear end of the race, when my engine exploded I quitted...

I'd be interested in weather the Server was using the original track, or the 2011 upgrade, because where the bumps were added I was one of the accidental low flying cars , without having an accident ?  Also because if the 2 versions are compatible, I think most are going to leap at the faster one.  If not, the bumping was excessive. but I thought the rest of the track, made the suffering worthwhile.  wacko

My race was not worthwhile - missed the carnage but disco'd in sympathy.  Server was fine - t'was my end was my end. Hit with a wet fish

My server had the old version installed with a .dat file from 2005!
T7 server has a .dat file from 2007!?
The new track has a .dat file from 2011...

Quite an entertaining track - but you have to be pretty precise with the brake points - haybales waiting in ambush to punish a small mistake. After a few laps the bumps didn't seem so bad - but I run a higher set up than the default.
Did anyone have connection or frame rate issues? I had some minor lag on the last lap although Natan had some issues with frame rates.

There is an option to use Tulln in place of either Bremgarten or Jops in the Formula II championship but I think we might levae this one for another season.

The GPL Rank time for Tulln is 1.04?? no idae how you can achieve that.

Hi there,

a Taff Race that was. Had a bad start and then someone kicked me from behind. After waiting for space to Shift-R I was almost at the end of the pack. When I, after a long chase, finally arrived at the first two spots I found it very hard to overtake. So there was nothing more then the third spot to achieve.
As far as I know only one Alien reached a 1:04 time on this track.

So long
Andreas
