SPA
i got several mod65 spa setups. all around 3-35 ...till 3-40...
but i cant understand where is a trick to drive with them. cos i can hardly get gear 4 sometimes gear5.. and best laptime so far 4-02
car seems speeds up so slow... and during corners loosing speed so much
so
maybe someone knows some fast setup?
or what is a most important thing to race at spa fast?
and do you use your own setups or from 65mod setup pack?

Well you can try my setup pack (on the Waza site, link in my signature), though I'm not sure which cars I have a Spa setup for. I suggest you install the 67 WR groove (google GPL Racing Line) to help you with lines. Basically you want to use the whole track width where appropriate and most importantly - accelerate as early as possible instead of braking deep into corners. You also want to carry as much speed as possible, but without excessive sliding and drifting, as that tends to lose a lot of speed in the 65 cars.

To add something about lines, it's very important that you sacrifice your exit lines through some of the successive left-right (or right-left) combinations except for the last corner in the sequence. This will allow you to get an optimal and fast exit onto the straight that follows, which is crucial for achieving good top speed.

I've done a 3:37 with the setup on this page which is one I made.

The secret is to be as smooth as you can through the bends and not scrub excess speed off and press your right foot down harder.

You can inflate your tyres higher than normal to reduce friction and drag but if you are not even getting into top gears then you are losing too much speed through the turns.

I seem to be stuck around 3:50 but I can't do this race in any case. Sad as it was a (small) possibility of finishing on the same lap as everyone else for once.

I use my own setups. 3:44 ish at spa with loads to come off that time when i can be @rs3d... I lack the patience to do many laps on these longer circuits.
BTW , at Spa you feel like your not going much because the long gearing needed means gear changes are a long time apart... also the open sweeping nature of the track doesnt make you feel closed in... nothing flashing past your peripherl vision to give the sense of speed. I shall be doing this race but i wont be trying my hardest as Spa is just far to dull and boring .. a nice gentle plod around will suit me.

but in igor i cant se racelist and when i open igor i get mesage:
could not open gpl mods ini.
and
Last GPL player chosen cannot be found as a player/players forlder

what to do?

Can't help you with the rest but the IGOR racelist (and GPL Rank) has been down for about a week so you won't see any races running.

Hi Karliss.

After reinstalling GPL have you changed the player name/s you use in GPL? When you opened gem/igor for the first time it will have been looking for the last player name you used. If you have changed it thats why it could not find it. Hope its all working for you now. Vos is right about GPLRank and IGOR racelists still being down at the moment.

somehow i get all work for some time, but the same issue agen apears after i installed GT mod
so questions:
1.do u use different user names for every mod?
2. so all setups for different mods saves in the same player track folder or it creates different folder for each mod?
3. i created different player names and agen cant lounch IGOR from GEM+ interface, it says about cant find last player ini. and most weird MOD is not installed
4. when i enter in igor i can see racelist but cant join any race, cos i get message, no mod installed, or something like this.
5. ,aybe i must reinstall gem+igor ?

Each mod should have its own player. People usually use

Name.65
Name.67
Name.GT

etc etc

Each player and mod will then have their own subfolders for setups and lap times etc.

Create the players in GPL not GEM. Once the players are created launch GEM and in the top right select your 65 player and in the top left tell that player to use the 65 mod and 65 car set, then in the middle use the 65season.

Do that for each player. Once you have done that and closed GEM, next time you open it and change the driver the correct car sets and season will automatically be selected.

I just have one player name, think originally I couldn't get the wheel settings the same with different ones, so stuck with that.
It means all my setups are in one track folder but I differentiate with a prefix eg 65/67/GT. The only thing you have to be carefull about is not to overwrite the wrong setup eg a 67 with a 65 one.
A separate name is better but I've just got used to it my way.

i do exactly the same as Vosblod...
naming my setups  eg  -  GT_Lola_monza10k   or   67_eagle_cadwell
works fine for me

I do use a different player for each mod and still name my setups with a prefix for the mod (i.e. 65). Setting up initially takes a bit more time, but once you do that in-game and in GEM+, you don't have to touch anything. You just select the driver name for whatever mod you're joining a race in and everything is set properly.

The only thing you need to remember when doing it this way is to select the correct driver from in-game when joining a server manually or practicing offline.

Another reason I like having separate drivers (usernames) for each mod is because I run different Graphics settings for some mods (i.e. reduced details). It just saves me adjusting things everytime I drive a different mod.

i reinstall GEM and now it works good!
so i alo installed
TARGA track, but seems i could just once race on it, when i conected in Igor room, otherwise i cant race on it with Gem, cos when i open a GPL and load a track game crashess.
i know that GPL consists a thousands of little adons and other stuff, what must be installed to get something work, so
How to get Targa florio work?

best start for me , but unfortunetley my murasama race set blow up in lap 3 or 4....(happens 1/1000)
so sorry for all guys who i messed up in finish straight cose my braking (episode 1) and spining (episode 2 in next lap) before pit entrance.
ok anywai 3x times in pits in 3 laps is to painful...
best thing happened is my absolute laptime PB during race.
