Yup my replay shows the same , Vos rammed the pair of us then you side swiped me , think this is now three in a row when ive been taken out at the race start although this time it may not have happened if we had a loose grid , I also had the same old issues trying to join so by the time I got to qually there was about 9mins to go ,did the same as you and started with fuel for 35 laps Then comes the race and I get scuttled (again) and from there on I couldnt settle down to racing and made some stupid basic errors trying to play catch up Not an equal playing field when the front runners are doing a sprint race and I.m set for a 32 lap slugging match , not saying it would make much difference in the leaderboard but the chances of my doing any good in the championship are now dissapearing fast through no fault of my own . :'( :'( :'(

Not sure what happened with the grid and the race length, the server was started remotely by Vos as I was out and using my phone for irc chat so I couldn't start it myself.
I know for a fact that all the 65 grids should be loose and I am almost sure I set the 67s and 69s loose too but I will now check each one again.
The 65season.ini file has the race length reduced for 65 Amateurs tomorrow but the 67 race should have used the 67 season.ini which should have been the correct number of laps so I'm not sure what happened there.

Looked at my replay and, surprise surprise, shows no contact with a gap to you and Rick in front. Then it shows Rick skewing right into you. Not been able to download the server replay to look but guessing it might show impact. I know it sounds like an 'it was warp not me your honour' excuse but I think in this case, it was, not being helped by a tight grid. I am obviously sorry it happened, if you want to submit a report it will of course be moderated by someone else. I don't think it's productive to get into a drawn out debate as to the results standing but I did not make an arbitrary decision. The only rules relating to restarts are on the Etiquette page under Red Flag Situations. The laps are shown on the first GPL screen and it was mentioned a few times in chat. Nobody, to my knowledge, abandoned the race prior to the start due to the shorter race distance. We are taking measures to ensure this will not happen again but, and I stand to be corrected, the lap no's cannot be changed remotely via IGOR. This meant there was no option to restart on a longer distance.

John, as an addendum to those rules, I spotted these not long ago: https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=3349.msg65157#msg65157 * A driver who spins or otherwise departs from normal circulation of the circuit bears primary responsibility for rejoining the race safely. This includes, but is not limited to, leaving the track itself, or spinning to a stop or slow speed on the track. Where practical, rejoining drivers should avoid taking the racing line or crossing the track until back up to speed. * A driver who is approaching a rejoining car should be prepared to alter their line or slow slightly to take account of the rejoiner. Granted I should have slowed down, but it didn't give you an automatic right to the left-hand side of the track. Haven't yet looked at the replay BTW, been a long day at work!

Figured out what happened with the grid. As I thought, all my grids were set to loose but the 67 patch created a track67.ini for all papy tracks and does not use the track.ini at all.
I have now changed them back to loose again.

So cutting across you to get to the other side of the track that wasn't the racing line would have been fair game, no?

you should have lifted imho , also if you did what you are saying then you would be against the rules "It is the responsibility of any driver who is returning to the track to make sure they do not interfere with other drivers." john

Yes, I know I should have lifted, but it is also the responsibility of the overtaking driver to move cleanly. Works both ways y'know.

That explains it - didn't know that. Better check my grids too and the lap no's they are set for.
