Sorry for the confusion Bastian but my initial post was just to seek the opinion of the drivers. Given that we didn't have universal agreement to change the Works and the original request came from a Privateer driver, I decided to only delay the start of the Privateers. Sorry you missed the race, I've enjoyed our battles this season.

Mugged by Doni, again!  Shocked
I think I had minor contact with Clive on lap 1. I waited for him to recover so I lost a bit of ground and it took a few laps to catch up the the pack. After that it was a pretty intense battle with Doni. I looked for a safe place to pass but the only real chance was on the brakes into T2. I eventually pulled it off (Clive was all over my gearbox so that forced my hand) and then I tried to chase down Enrique. I started to close in but then the gap stopped coming down (I assume Enrique was pacing himself) so I pushed that bit too hard and made a slight mistake. That was all Doni needed and he was back through taz. I tried as hard as I could on the last couple of laps but there was no way through. Great racing Doni, well done.

I started P3 , i was quickly overtaken by Yannick and Jonny but after his mistake i regained the 4th position. My rithm was not bar at all, my pace was regular and even if Clive was slight faster than me i could manage to keep a regular pace, which was my obiective for the race as the 625 Is a bit unpredictable on corner exit. Then suddenly my screen freezed with the engine noise increasing in pitch. I don't know how was possible, i had the track patch cheked in GEM. This 55 season is demonstrating really stingy of results for me Sad

very unfortunate about jonnie, I think I blew the engine, I'm very sorry jonnie, Cry  but you're still leading and the fight for the champ, got hot: Shocked
I was late to qualifying since I also run in galaxie and I could only do a single thrown lap, which gave me a time of 3.03 and my bp was 2.58 but anyway, at least I could reach the race.
In the first lap I saw that those in front of me were running very fast and I had some failures in my entrances to curves but already after the second lap I already caught a good rhythm, but it was impossible to catch up with those in front, I ended up in a solo 4th place, but very happy that I could finish hehehe.
very good clive for that 3 place and also leo for his silver medal, but i want to praise yannick for his impressive race pace, totally unattainable, (did you put disc brakes on ?)laugh laugh
    See you next time

Congratulations to the podium!!!! As Farina said, the championship heated up again, now we have 200 applicants!!!
I was very lucky to do a few more laps before the engine blew up, he was left with half the cavalry as soon as I hit the wall and possibly eliminated the donor, it was a miracle the engine could still handle so many laps.

Grats to our podium men!  Well done, fellas!  Smiley

Sorry to see that Jonny, Clay and Giovanni ran into trouble along the way.

A lucky P5 for me which just as easily could have been P7.  Phil ran off the road with barely a lap to go to hand me the place.  Your too, too kind, Phil.  Smiley  Evil Clive had the pace to put us both in his mirrors but assorted offs put paid to his chances.

Not sure why the last lap wasn't scored for Ricky on down the order.  We all ran it back to Clive but GPL just said otherwise.  I hope that it's not a trend!

Nice race! I was surprised with pole, but latter I was brought back to Earth as we all saw what was the real pace.

Had a fine start and kept the lead, managing some gap till the Ferrari bakes were done by lap 3. I settled for my race pace, managing engine and brakes as Yan blew passed by me and Clive came along but we were more equal in pace. I was stronger in some sectors but was loosing a lot when hard braking was required, so we raced like that for most of the laps. Fun!  thumbup1

Did small preparation beforehand because I favoured watching the F1 race over qualifying. I drove the final couple minutes to have a flying lap on the board. I was on my way on pole until with one corner to go the game went to the race session. When I started the lap the timer was on 0:38 w/o the checkered flag so I should easily have made it, but apparently the extra time timer is way too short here. Or did I completely miss the flagmen back then?

After the crossing the line, I watched the race results and strangely the game says some drivers where lapped (or didn't finish the last lap in time?) despite never reaching backmarkers in the race. Suppose Assen needs a fix or two.

See you next race.

Grats to the podium guys and all finishers. Sorry to hear about the various retirements  Sad

Assen is not on my list of favourite tracks, although it does have some interesting sections, but certainly in the 55's passing opportunities are limited.

I had a reasonable start and decided to do an "Alonso" around the outside of T1. Well that backfired when I was nudged and with the car on the limit of very little adhesion I was off and into the haybales  Undecided. No complaints as IMHO it was just a racing incident.

After that I was guilty of over driving my 250F and simply trying to make up ground and places too quickly. When I caught Doni and Phil there were at least 3 occasions when I had to abort to the grass because they were both slower through the bends than I was intending to be. Each time I had to recover and chase them down again, only to repeat the errors. I blame the red mist that was particularly thick in the low lying areas of the Netherlands!!

Eventually I made one mistake too many with just a lap to go and resigned myself to last place, so I cruised in to complete the race. As Yannick has said the lap count at Assen appears to be slightly wrong. I was not lapped ( unless the car was invisible??) and yet I was classified as a lap down and "retired"Huh, although I crossed the line. Maybe I should have run another lap and stolen a few places??? lol

I didn't do the qualifying because I was watching the last laps of the F1 race in Austin (what a track!). So I started last, gained some places at the start and some others during the first lap because some of them were on the outside of the track. My idea was to have a quiet race and to take care of the brakes (although on this track they are not severely demanded). But I was touched from behind in the Bedeldijk corner, I tried to continue for a couple of laps but the suspension damage made the car very unstable and a danger for the others, so I decided to retire.
Thanks for the organisation.
