Hi Cookie Thanks for link followed the readme and have virtual mirrors. As this is first time in Canam66 cars i am using default setup (apart from fuel) at 65Goodwood got into mid 1m.21 but high reving kept blowing engine after discoed and race restart did not rev engine over 6.5 and gear change foot off throttle lap time now down to 1m.24 and still blew engine, i know 90% of fast lap time is driver skill you guys 5 to 6 seconds faster than me but engine blowing in these cars seems a mystery to me, any tips i would be great full for.

Without watching a replay of your driving style, it is difficult to know why you are blowing engines. But... I managed to blow one engine at Goodwood, and in my defence I was fighting off a very fast Chapperal with a determined Axel behind the wheel It might be useful to watch my TWITCH video available via the link below and see where I was upshifting and downshifting and at what revs around Goodwood. You might need to alter your gear ratios to avoid over revving. Initially it might be good idea to set your gearbox up one notch on the final drive before you start and then then adjust if you find that you are not getting to 95% max revs at the fastest point ( this will leave a small margin for slipstreaming) I am contemplating doing a TWITCH video showing how I go about developing a setup for myself, step by step. I firmly believe that someone cannot tell someone else exactly what setup parameters to use. What can be useful, is to explain what to change in order to get the car behaving as YOU would like, because if you are comfortable and confident with the car then you will be quicker.

Was not a bad race for me with also a little battle with Doni ,but with 2 big mistake i have lost the 10th position. Some doubt on the top speed of my Lola 359 compared with others cars.

A bit of an untidy race for me. I clipped the grass and spun on cold tyres which put me to the back of the field. In my efforts to catch up I clipped Paul twice, very sorry mate. The first time I tried to stay tight but I over did it and clipped the bales which pushed me out wide and I tapped Paul's rear which caused him to spin. The second time I misjudged an overtake and clipped his rear but he could continue, it was me that spun out (poetic justice). I also owe Doni an apology for spinning in front of him. Not a great performance from me.
On the positive side, the car handled great. There could be an opportunity to use these cars again if we are a bit more creative about the handicapping. If we give drivers a free choice there will be nothing but Chaps and Genies on the grid.

Apologies to Pete about the little contact at the start. I think I drove decent and consistent, if we don't count one 360 where I lost 5 seconds. I was in a very good shape, avoiding incidents, waiting for the perfect moment to do my S&Go and was able to finish in P5, starting 3 positions back. I had a great chase and battle with Bob and the same with Clive at the end, where I did everything to cut off that slipstream, which helped massively. Grats to podium guys, thanks for the great race and hope to see you again next time. The race from my point of view: https://www.twitch.tv/turboracing39

Yes, a wonderfull race with close fights. Imo the AT mode is extreme fun, as the cars have all same hp, to handicap you can give a load of fuel to be left after the race (but you cant give 200l to the Chap to equal the Mecom427) @ Pete sorry for my not so clear way into the pits, wich I had in mind when I slowed down Grrr, in the last lap my engine blew again and Bob got the 2nd back - well earned! @ Dimi - The 2colored Genie was run by the Team of Dan Blocker the guy of TV Western series "Bonanza" Above I linked 2 reviews of the Chaparall cars - the high wing + the aero bottom + airflow flaps on the body + the quick relase steering wheel is an invention of Jim Halls Team ( They did the testing for GM, wich did not want to race officiallly...)

I hope that Joe would have enjoyed these races I always try and dream up something slightly different for the JSMT and I feel that this time it almost worked? A full grid for the second race of the series, I don't know how many were unable to participate through lack of space. Apologies if you were one of them. Grats to the podium places and to all finishers and thanks to all of those who raced in memory of Joe Shaw. Just for the record and to re assure you that I had no advance practice in these cars other than a few laps around a South American circuit just to see if these cars were worth a try. Any actual practice and preparation only began after the races were announced and somehow I managed to create a monster of a setup. It was clearly fast, but the sweet spot was on a knife edge and would either take me through a corner super quickly or lock the front wheels and plough into the scenery even when I felt that my driving was spot on. At least it made the race interesting?? The pole position lap was on the same setup as all the others, where the setup just behaved itself. My race started well and went downhill very quickly... as many of you will have discovered at T1 on lap 2. So sorry about that chaos, I ran wide on cold tyres, which would not have been too bad just losing places, until I hit the fence and it fired me back onto the track and onto the racing line. I did a S/R and waited until all cars had got going as I felt so guilty. The rest of the race was all about clawing back the places and then the setup would decide that it was time to go farming again !!! I made it up to 5th place and almost stole Dimi's spot but ran out of laps. I think these cars might offer some fun in the future ( a little like the 67 F2's)but my thoughts are that Pro drivers would NOT be allowed the Chapp or the Genie. Looking at the differences in lap times the Lola's appeared to be approx 1-1.5secs a lap slower, so if the fast guys have to drive those AND take an SnG, then we might get some very interesting results??? Some moderating checks still to do before this year's winner is announced, but should not be too long. I hope all you PRO drivers did your SnG.

Good race. I or someone wandered a bit and I was tapped into a diversion on to the grass on lap1, got going again easily went past a few more major offs, was hoping to catch Dave C, but he was off up the road.... I've never been here before so that's my excuse for being tardy. towards the end, Paul was on a charge, faster than I could manage, but held him off over the flag More setup time would be required for me if we were to use this config again, but they ran well. Thanks to Clive for the ideas, and Dave for the server

Hi guys ....firstly, I totally forgot to do my S&G, I had my head in the handlebars and that's it! ...sorry, we can do it again if you want ....fortunately, it's outside the championship. apart from that, it was very nice these 2 races I changed cars for Boreham because I suffered at Goodwood with the Lola 305, the Genie accelerated much better than me and it reached maximum speed faster.. . that's why I changed to Boreham...and it was better Thanks everyone, Evil, Dave and UKGPL....cu next race....Gazzzzz!!
