Looks like GBGPL are scraping a team together, Will Tway is trying to get them organised. It looks like they might be pulling in a couple of fast guys to beef up their chances, so we need to have some pace at the front of the field.

For the moment I will take the Honda as it is more likely to find a driver for the Brabham, but I'm happy to switch back if a wandering samurai turns up.

I'm not worried, Clive. OK, the Honda is yours, that leaves a Brabham and a BRM up for grabs.

Not to be picky, but can we put Hristo in the Honda? It's capable of 3:15s. I know, I saw that lap in question last night!

They have rebuilt him... welcome back Pete.

The bionic implants used to be removable from the Steve Austin dolls, so you could have them beaten up by your villain dolls, then put them back in and he would win.  Not that I had any dolls, but that's how I imagine it was supposed to work.  Steve Austin didn't impart any life lessons though, unlike Asterix, which taught us that men with large mustaches who drink magic potion become more dangerous.  What else is there to know?

Cooper is quite capable too. Besides, I tend to blow up engines of late, it's pointless being fast if you can't finish a race. And BTW, who is "we"? Were you referring to myself putting myself in the Honda? lol

For what its worth , I suspect that H will be almost down to 3:15's in the Cooper, and as he says at least the Cooper engine is ( just) a tad more reliable than the all conquering Waza turbine Roll Eyes

I'd be happy with a 17, lol. We'll leave it to Jethro to battle the front, doing 13s (preferably  Roll Eyes ).

I was intending to do Clubmans, however if we're short, I'd be happy to take the other Brab or the Beast from Bourne.....only have to finish, right?

Geoff.

Finishing is a priority, yes, but it helps a lot not making mistakes, those usually lose you more time than lack of pace. I've got a good Brabham setup you may try, in fact here are my most recent Spa setups for all cars:

http://uploading.com/files/HV7N0FMW/Hristo_Spa_67_setups.zip.html

The name convention either specifies "q" or "r" for qualifying and race ("pickup" is same as "r"), while the number is the version - the higher the more recent. So in the cases where a Q setup is more recent than a R setup ( or vice versa), you may want to try use that. Just adapt the gearing, ride height and maybe tyre pressures from the other older version as I usually get those settings working well early on.

I don't have Q or R setups for some of the cars.

Good luck,

-=Hristo=-

Perhaps we could poach Tim, now that he's won Clubmans?  Grin. Anyone else fancy giving the interleagues a try?

Good idea, if Tim is up for driving a BRM, he can take it.

Argh! I driving the race of my life and then the engine explodes! Qualified 3rd on the grid, hassled Bo for the first half of the lap and overtook him into 2nd place. I then followed Iestyn in the nitrous powered Ferrari but I just couldn't catch him. Something must have happened later on as I saw the flagman wave green flags and then the pitboard showed I was in the lead! Winning an interleague race would be quite special and onto the 8th lap, I felt comfortable with my pace.

Then the engine blew  censored. Just one of those things I guess, but it just had to happen when I was leading. I guess I thrashed the engine a little too hard when trying to catch Iestyn. Well, I'm off on holiday in a week and won't see a computer until the 11th. Unfortunately that means I'm going to miss Silverstone (again  Roll Eyes) in D1 but i'll be back a day before the next interleague. Hope we can get more points than GBGPL  Grin.
