Understood Tony - most would not notice the sideways shrinkage, which is why motor racing history is getting warped. Not your fault. It's probably only irritating to those who witnessed reality. The guy who did the mangling was aware of his mangling, and is part of a trend GPL modders are trying to avoid.
As for realism, GPL let's you test the limits and survive. If you prefer to die, and race no more until pixel reassembly next race, you've that option. I say, keep it realistic, for as long as it's fun to do so.
