Afraid not  Undecided

I "loaned" my cars to my younger brother when I started work...and he lost/broke/destroyed all of them cursing

They were not true Scalextric cars, more custom built with brass chassis, flexible polycarbonate bodies, sponge tyres for grip and hi-performance motors for running on seriously long 4 lane permanent club circuits which were "the thing" back then.

In fact the cars we used would not run on comercially available tracks, although the cars were 12volt powered the amp draw on the motors melted standard controllers and required a lorry battery on constant trickle charge to power a 4 car race.

All of my hard earned pocket money was swallowed by that hobby, until I discovered that other huge money sponge....................girls Wink. From then on until the discovery of GPL, I was lost in the wilderness.  lol

Downloaded and installed without a hitch.  Even got the OpenGL V2 rasterisers working with Pribluda no problems at all.  All in all a fantastic mod, the quality of the work is amazing.  Need to post a big thanks to the development team clap

The cars will take some getting used to, reduced visibility and rear view mirror is a challenge.  Driving the left hand drive Porsche is definitely weird Roll Eyes

Hoping to make the race but may not be back in time.

I still love the Porsche but the engine sound on the Lola is great.

I think 65Novices could be replaced with a Porsche Super Cup. Wink

At least I might crash less - but I'd still be last Cheesy

The password is "butterfly", for anyone who's late. Please post it on the top of the thread as usual next time...

Ah, lol, didn't notice your post, Tim.

Gutted - got a late pass form the wife and the race was full <sob>. Didn't fancy the free race - didn't know them and didn't want to be too embarrassed. UKGPLers know what to expect Sad

Anyway had a blast round Sebring with Phil Thornton - Might have done a reasonable lap if I could find the track Cheesy BIG FUN.

When we getting a series?

Hi guys - provisional import done (great turn-out).
This is the first time we have done a Sports Car import and I have had to make some educated guesses as regards car mapping (look at your GPLRA report). Can you check the chassis that is showing for you is correct - if not please shout. I'll sort the tyres out once we are happy with the chassis mapping. (for those that are confused we have to map the GPLRA report to the appropriate Sports Car and it's a bit guesswork right now LOL)

On the server side, seemed to run like a dream but any feedback would be appreciated.

A great new mod...

UPDATE: all mapping now sorted

Like Badblood I missed the race but managed a couple of other open races at Sebring and Monza.  The mod is great but we need a few fun races to get used to it.  The mirrors are smaller than the F1 cars so it is even harder to see where the other cars are.  Had a shunt with JR at Monza, I tried to leave room but these cars are bigger than the F1s (well they seem like it to me).

I'd be surprised if the mods put on a proper series before Season 21.  Would be nice to have a fun mini series though.

it was great fun... Had a fantastic duel with mr2049er ending only when he crashed in dramatic style at woodcote. I tried to qualify the porker but i was just too slow in that to make it worthwhile so took the P4 instead. I found the car a little tricky compared to the 1965 F1 i`m used to but i think i coped with it quite well..
I would would be up for racing in some sort of mini series with this..
