Ah, OK, Paul, you're excused then - hope your family appreciates the sacrifice you must do for them! So are we allowed to seek temporary single-race replacements in these series? And do they have to be signed on the team or something? In case we can, anyone willing to step in for Paul for just this one race?

My understanding of the rules is no replacements H - Kind of annoying as I'm at the Nurburgring for the Brands race so will have to leave my teamies in the lurch

Soz H. I will try and make sure that I am there for the remaining eight races. I'll have to have 100% attendance or we get a penalty

Hope you have a good time at the 'ring Tim. Please be sensible, there are still 8 races after this one [although a mate says the German medical care is very good, having experienced it himself]. Must have a discussion with Dave about cars for Effex. Cya.

Do my plans for a sub 9 minute lap count as sensible? Will try and get some practice for Effexx in tomorrow as I'm marshalling at Combe all day saturday

Only if you are in a simulator...
Are you going to try in a Transit?

Did 2 9:02's last year on 6" wide Uniroyal-decidedly-not-sport-tyres which were melting by about the 2/3d's point as it wasn't raining This year I have some 8" wide Falken's on my lightweight Ray's wheels - This combo is actually lighter than the 6" road wheel/tyre combo aswell as grippier so I'm aiming for at least 10 secs off if I manage a clear lap

His pension for speed, means he's retired - it's quite obvious really! *EDIT* No, wait, what I meant was re-tyred.

Makes sense now you've edited it maddog What I mean Paul is that my wheels (And therefore tyres aswell) will be 2" wider on each wheel = bigger contact patch = moar gripz = higher corner speeds Also, thanks to the bigger Rays wheels actually weighing less! than the smaller wheels, I have less rotating mass which is also a big bonus Oh, and there are rumours that the club van will be coming with us, I've already started making enquiries about taking it around the Nordschlief should that be true

Err - I was kidding Tim although I'm not familiar with 'Rays'. I do get the point about the bigger wheels. That is why driving a lorry is so much easier - big wheels and five axles = 10 wheels with large diameter - HUGE amounts of grip (I'm still kidding)

Well that's typical. My internet conked out on the first lap . If only it happened a few minutes earlier. At the end of the pace lap, people were disappearing and suddenly GPL shouts 'Error on network device' or something new. Was hoping that the server had an issue but alas it was just me. Shame that as I was really looking forward to the race at Efexx. Onto the next one......
