Paul...

Maybe not the place to mention this but I'm thinking that the following provision should be put up for review.  From the Works GCR's...

"A driver must cross the start line at least once under race conditions to qualify as a starter (this is determined automatically by GPL not by the moderating staff). This means if a driver makes the grid he must actually cross the start line to qualify as a starter, simply making the grid is not sufficient."

Should we not revise this?  What if there's a major shunt on the drop of the green flag and two, three or more people have their cars destroyed even before they have a chance to pass the S/F line?

Surely coming under 'starter's orders'...ie, you're on the grid...should be sufficient.

It isn't a choice - it is the way the code is generated. Unfortunately not something we can change but apart from engine blow ups, it shouldn't be too much of an issue.

The other reason that's in place is so you don't lose the cost of the tokens for taking more than one car, e.g. join with a Ferrari and actually race with a Brabham, otherwise you'd incur costs of both cars with the token system. It does allow that in case of engine blow up on the start line, you don't incur the cost of the chassis.

That's an interesting schedule, other than I suck at Monaco and Parco Sempione looks like a track that might give me trouble.

I had thought I would try the BRM this season but it doesn't look I should. Since I can't keep a DFV in one piece a Ferrari/Cooper, Eagle/Honda combination would be better than a Lotus/BRM combo. The coins system is kind of fun. I've thought I had a plan, three different times but I'm still not sure what I want to drive.

Take care guys. See you soon.
