This season, races are to be run at 60 frames per second.
Drivers must complete 50% of each race to score.

Only ONE reset per race will be allowed followed by a compulsory Stop & Go in the pit-lane, within 2 laps.

The races will be run as follows:

Car set: Dependent upon race - see race post

SC   : 60fpsV1 patch

CanAm71: 60fpsV2newmod patch

67 F2 : 60fpsV2newmod patch

Date: Every Friday from 06th March 2015
Time: no later then 9:00pm UK Time (30-60 mins practice, race starts at 9:30pm)

Handicapping

Same rules for all 3 classes.

For the lights they have free choice of car for the first race, and always a free choice for the Heavy drivers for all 7 races.

But, for the 2nd race the Lights lose the option of the most popular car on the grid in race 1. ( If there are 2 equal cars, then the most successful car is dropped)

In the 3rd race the Lights lose the most popular car from the grid in races 1&2

Race 4 and the same process...the lights lose another choice. the most popular chassis from race 1, 2 +3

It would appear that you are correct. I voted Heavy, but BadBlood and I are in the championship table as light.

One could always use the format from the F2 races of 1967...

Graded = Hotshots; F1 drivers stepping down into F2.

Ungraded = Hopefuls; aspiring up and comers.

In those F2 races, graded drivers competed side-by-side with ungraded runners but were not eligible for the F2 title.  That doesn't hold for our servers as each is a title championship of its own accord but it might help distinguish the two levels.

It should work out that by the last race the Lights have only a couple of cars to choose between and the odds swing gradually towards the Heavies throughout the season.

So for each race post you will simply have to list the cars that the Lights cannot drive after race 1.

WIP - with congrats. to Clive for creating the new Evil handicap now posted  I suspect many are hoping for a handicap system that's fixed before the Season starts.  It's already complex enough to confuse a tail twitcher!

loaded the tracks ( took an age ) try to run CA71-1.0exe but it tells me track dat missing from Road america !

I look in GPL tracks and its in there .

I delete the track from GPL delete the download file , do fresh d/l and track install , all goes OK , can drive the track in GPL

Try again to install Can Am mod but just the same , no track .dat

Do I need the track update ? if so how to install this RAR file please ?

I've uploaded the entire  track folder to Mediafire for d/l.  Run the standard installer for your track then copy/paste this file to it.
