Staying at Spa but this time in the CanAm beasts. Spa Francorchamps 67 ( papy) winds through the Belgian countryside and offers some unique challenges for the driver. Eau Rouge, Malmedy and Masta where both car and driver can gain time or suffer serious damage by being just slightly offline. Long straights favour the big cars but there are enough corners for the more nimble to stay in the hunt. Remember that you will have to chose a different car for this race and by now your choice is becoming limited. "Please ensure you are aware of the new in-series penalties for this season. Details are here. Drivers incurring a penalty will receive a PM informing them of this."Race list | iGOR | Server | TBA | IP address | TBA | Date | 10-05-2013 | Race time | Race starts at 09:30 UK time | Qualifying time | Between 30 and 60 minutes, starting no later than 21:00 UK time | Track | Spa Francorchamps (Papy) | Mod | Can Am 71 | Damage model | INT (Each driver is allowed a single Shift-R) | Race length | 15 laps | Replay | Available here |

Remember that you will have to chose a different car for this race and by now your choice is becoming limited.
THE McLAREN M8 COUNTS AS A SINGLE CAR CHOICE, YOU CANNOT DRIVE THE M8B IN ONE RACE AND THE M8D IN ANOTHER AND HOPE THAT THEY COUNT AS DIFFERENT CARS.
Help. How many cars are the following. McLaren M8B, McLaren M8D and McLaren M8F; one two or three? Lola T260 and Lola T222; one or two?

It does seem a teensy bit odd, when all the cars behave differently.

No it was spelt out in the series registration page as follows There will probably be a free car choice, but drivers must use a different chassis for each race. that means you will use 5 different GT cars and 5 different Can Am cars through the whole 10 race series. However, as a motorcyclist they are all the same to me, wa......s . Seriously I'm just after confirmation so I don't turn up in the wrong beast on Friday.

The McLarens ARE different chassis. If they're the "same", why are there separate WRs and ranks for each? If the McLarens are the "same", then the Lolas are, too? What about the Fords and Chaparrals in the GTs? This is a mid-season rule change, not a "clarification", IMO.

For me the 3 McLarens are total different cars too, so I would have broken the rules allready...

Just got in from work and it seems I have poked my stick into a hornets's nest. OOPs!! Whoa !! Ok guys. This was not intended as a mid season rule change, but more a gentle reminder of the need to use different cars. I had not realised that the Mclarens were actually totally different cars with different handling/performance etc. I really thought they were simply different skins on the same chassis, so maybe I should have done some deeper research. For that oversight I apologise. THEREFORE, I HAVE AMENDED THE RACE POST AND REMOVED THE CONTENTIOUS LINE. I hope this clears up any confusion and settles any worries
