I have not been able to look at the replay yet Bernie but as I said in my pre-race post, it would be better for all concerned if people being lapped didn't wait until the overtaking car was half way up their exhaust pipe before giving room.

You raced Phil down the straight, with me in tow, and then tried to perform a difficult move halfway through the most complex set of bends on the circuit.

Obviously Phil is happy that you gave him safe passage but you appeared to be staying wide for me and then came clattering into the side of me. If that was due to your hitting the curb then it only serves to reinforce the point.

Had you let us pass on the straight then everybody's lap time would have improved.

As it was, this was the end of my challenge for second place.  The extra dab on the brakes that it took to recover from our collision meant that I bounced off the bales with no brakes at the next chicane and was lucky to still be in the race.

I do not expect cars being lapped to leap into the scenery but a little common sense would not go amiss.

Clive , a few points to mention

1. You really should make sure of your facts before commenting (watch the replay first )

2. On the straight leading to the twisty bit neither Phil or you were close enough to warrant me slowing to let you pass but I did at the first opertunity when I thought it was 'safe to slow ' without one or other of you piling into the back of me .  (as happened in a previous race when Dave.R. did exactly that )  I did not "TRY"  to perform a "difficult" move at any time .

3. Neither of you were "halfway up my exhaust pipe "  when I slowed to let you both pass .

4. How do you work out that I stayed wide ? I was running alongside the kerb .  Neither did I move into you . You had plenty room to pass on the outside , it was your choice to turn in on me !

5 . It is not up to you to decide the rules for overtaking . Thank you but I know the rules .

6. I think you needed to take the common sense pill in this situation not me '

I am of course very sorry both yourself and Enrique did not get the results you expected but I do not see how I in any way influenced the result of your race .

Sorry for the delay in my race report, gys.  I've been MIA thanks to a hand injury sustained on Monday.  She's good now.  Smiley

Brilliant victory for my Blue Moose mate, Evil Clive!  WOOHOO!  Phil an excellent run to P2.  Clive Loynes takes the final podium step.  Well done, chaps.

Clay...  NP, amigo.  Poo happens.  In scoping the replay cap, it was clear that you missed your typical braking point by, uhh, 50 metres or so.  Cheesy

I'm judging the shunt as sufficient to stand down from the final round due to injury.

I've not had a finish in the last three races.  That was 150 points on the table to be had and I have scored all of...11.  Sigh...
