Well I think I change to amateurs from next event. I can't stand the stress of a Pro race anymore. Plus it's great to have a 2nd (or 5th) chance in the race.

Ah - what happened? Rob and I scampered off from the line as best we could, but were caught by lap 3. I kept as far right/going on to the grass as I could to give Tim room to pass through the middle, but instead I saw him fly out of the mirror, along the fence . Once Axel and Ray got in front of Rob and I, we could not re-pass - eventually Rob made a mistake and dropped back to battle Clive and recovering Tim. The few times I got a run, by really focussing on exits, just about at the ends of the straights, I either had to slot it through not quite a full car width, or throw one up the inside at a crowded braking zone.. Backup plan was to get a good exit from the last two corners and try to pip someone on the line, but that never materialised . Nice to have some points on the board, and my connection only made cars disappear a few times, mostly in the second half. I might have had the lower gears too long and the upper ones too short - but after loading 13 gals (20 laps), I finished with 2.6 gals .. top speed I saw was about 172mph in a double Lotus draft.

Sorry Dean. Going to have to report myself for that one. I misjudged both distance and draft to Robert and lightly clipped his wheel. When I started spinning I locked the brakes hoping to get thrown to the outside of the circuit - which seemed to work as several engines whizzed past while I span - but then I bounced off the scenery and collected you, and by proxie Roo and several spinners The rest of the race was a recovery made more interesting by a 20 lap battle to the flag with Clive while trying to slowly claw back to the leaders. When Robert span out and rejoined us my tactics for passing Clive on the final lap were nearly torpedo'd but got lucky with the spacing as we entered the main straight for the final time

Was dreading this race already after last race, and simply didn't have my head into it, and hardly practised. Really surprised to snatch Pole. Granted, had a tow lap, and Roo let me pass before the motodrome. Couldn't repay his courteous move since I went off at turn 1 the lap after...(tires got too hot) Race was a disaster, tried some awkward moves and then backed out. Then decided to hang back, but had few lapses and went off a few times. Clive and Tim got by and had to settle for 6th in the end... Good to see Iestyn, and Ray Grats Axel and well done Ray and Iestyn!

I had a very long first gear for the Motodrom corners and so stalled a litttle at the start... Was lucky to avoid the spinning cars and confident to close up to the leading pack After a while Rob got lost and we were a triple pack left, but only Ray could catch me on the straights Great racing Ray and Iestyn, with great respect and in the end it was just a chess game who will be leading into the Motodrom Yeah, I won my home GP!

Sorry Dean. Going to have to report myself for that one... I saved you the trouble. Excerpt from my report: ...So my favourite track, with my favourite mod, looking forward to this since it was announced, 3 minutes in and I'm roll-hooped. >8-[

Spent the whole practice looking for a good setup. Then crossed my fingers and headed for the race, hoping some tow from others Start was okay, but as soon as lap 2 I lost more and more meters to Roo, and I realised it would be a lonely race for some easy points by others' mistakes. Then it was Lap 2 Ost Kurve... Seeing the dust cloud ahead I lifted the gas pedal and lowered my speed. Then tried to avoid two or three cars sliding across the road. I just couldn't make it through and contacted a Lotus (Roo?) which also finished my car too. Maybe I should have had to approach to scene even slowlier, but loosing too much speed is always scary when someone is still behind you Congrats to the winner and all finishers!

I like to apologize for my comment after the race, and my negativity. It doesn't show a lot of respect to others when I said that I drove like a clown. It's just me being hard on myself, and being tired of the Cooper/fast tracks combo this season. The last races were rather frustrating, but most was my own doing. Hope you understand. It hurt me to see so many cars suffering early race, but sometimes stuff happens, and Tim is one of the drivers I do respect the most. But I feel for the victims, especially Dean, who was looking forward so much to this race. Let's have some great last two races of this season! I wish that for all drivers... PS: Axel, that was a great win. Also great to see Ray doing so well, and Iestyn who was awesome in the BT7!

Good to see Iestyn, and Ray
My steady recovery is going well Rob. But I still only plan to do every other race this season at most (Works/Pros but not Historics and 69x). Great racing Ray and Iestyn, with great respect and in the end it was just a chess game who will be leading into the Motodrom To be honest Axel I was having so much fun that I did not realise it was the last lap until I saw the blooming chequered flag being waved in the distance. As you said great driving from yourself and Iestyn and a very deserved win. By the way Iestyn, in answer to your question at the end of qualifying, Prib was showing a lap without any 2's in it. Thanks for the tow and what a shame I screwed it up at the end :'(

Thought I'd give you a helping hand for your bravery in taking the Cooper Glad it worked out No need to add anything about my race
