Moderator's Report

Phil makes a half-hearted attempt to pass Doni at Knaalbacht on lap 8. Doni was quick on the straights so Phil was keen to pass on the bends as he was running more wing than Doni. Doni kept his line and Phil's move up the inside should have been avoided. There is a tiny bit of warp in the replay but not enough to use an excuse for an over-ambitious overtake manouvre which resulted in Doni being knocked off the track.

Penalty: 2 places

If you want finish first you have to finish first.

Congratulations Enrique and Pete, and all finishers
The race went better than I expected after my practice but I didn't have any chance against Enrique! As I saw in the replay, I get in touch with Will's BT26 on the first lap, as we accelerated side by side towards the hairpin - glad it ended well. SRY. The Honda is not easy to set up, got harder and harder to drive the longer the race lasts and because of my highspeed take-off after the hill and later another spin, I'm very happy to be on the podium again. I would like to thank all the lapped riders who did a super professional job again and Pete for the organisation. Hope we all meet again in Jarama ...

That was great fun. The default setup scared me going into turn 1. So I used the 68 late set up that I made for Surfers Paradise during the off season. Then I put the wings to zero because it just felt like the right thing to do. The car and the track were amazing. I should have raised the suspension so that I wouldn't scrape the ground. Also I should have practiced more because it showed (I keep saying that, but life happens  Grin ).
