I happened to be passing by, and overheard this quote. i agree with Florian - guidelines in the past, have asked drivers to return to racing, and not wait for their victims to recover. Stationary cars can be either a distraction, or an obstruction.
I recently saw it mentioned, we can wait if so desired. It's the friendly thing to do. It also puts others in danger, and I've never seen it done, on a real racetrack. Accidents happen, and I think the best option is to clear the area as fast as possible, and hope no-one else noticed.
