Congrats Tristan and Dean! Nice job guys.
I'm one that likes difficult tracks but this one had me thinking it's too difficult during qualifying. I did a good job of driving within my limits in the race. I was pleased to stay somewhat close to Tristan, especially after the way I felt in qualifying. Tristan probably helped me go faster. I was like a dog chasing a stick until we started lapping cars.
Tristan made a mistake that let me catch him at one point. That mistake may have helped him. I was getting a good rhythm at that point and the lap I caught him looked to be a good one. But after I had caught him I started making more small errors. I lost a lot time when we lapped Francesco. And I seemed to have lost my composure after that. Finishing wasn't any problem but I couldn't increase my pace any the last few laps.
I enjoyed that. My computer is working well now and I drove a decent race with little trouble. I didn't have the fortitude to challenge Tristan much but overall it was a solid drive.
Instead I will be in Hyde Park, London watching, and listening to, Eric Clapton...Carlos Santana...Steve Winwood. plus a few others.
I hope it's a good show. How time flies, I haven't seen Santana in 20 years. And that show wouldn't have been a very good one if Jeff Beck hadn't opened the show. Carlos didn't do much. He let his drummers do most of the work. Jeff Beck and Terry Bozzio were awesome though.
Thanks guys and take care.
