Season 25 Privateers Trophy, Round 4, SpaWelcome back to the Privateers. After our break we stay in Europe with a short move across the border to visit Spa Francorchamps in Belgium. Classic circuit and one of the fastest on the calendar. High speed and some tricky corners where scrubbing off too much will kill the lap times and scrubbing off too little will kill the driver!
The original triangular shaped course, which was designed in 1920 by Jules de Their and Henri Langlois Van Ophem, used public roads between the towns of Spa, Malmedy and Stavelot. The course was extremly fast and was made even faster in 1939 with the introduction of the famous Eau Rouge section. The circuit was completely revised and shortened for the 1981 Belgian Grand Prix but it is the faster 8.761 mile version of the track that we will use for this race.
The 8.761 mile version of the circuit was used between 1946 and 1970 and whilst corners like Eau Rouge, Burnenville and particularly Masta; presented the drivers with exceptional challenges the circuit was very dangerous and claimed the lives of many drivers.

The full time drivers can start to practice as soon as the server is available. Reserve drivers can also join as soon as the server becomes available but must leave the server with 35 minutes of qualifying left, for a total of 5 minutes; this will allow any remaining full timers to join. If there is enough space on the grid, the reserve drivers will be able to rejoin when there are 30 mins of qualifying left.
Moderating The red zone will be fully moderated for lap 1 only. For this event the red zone will be
from the start to the exit of Masta. Other moderation will be on reported incidents only. However any incidents that occur in the red zone that are not reported by the drivers
will be reported by the moderator. This will allow all affected drivers the opportunity to present their case
before the incident is moderated. This should ensure there are no surprises when the moderator's report is published and hence appeals will be less likely. If you haven't received a PM about an incident before the link below the results table is removed, you can be sure that you will not appear in the moderator's report.
