Not sure on Montjuic online-race ability . wasn’t there a prob ? But maybe I confuse it , (wouldn`t make me wonder .lol ). However: To me very nice tracks to race 65`s on ,I know do work very well online and serving/producing good close races. Salzburgring 1974 Austrian Grand Prix Lime Rock Park Mountain Circuit Crystal Palace

Surely you mean late apex for early acceleration Hristo? I found the Hairpin at Nouveau Monde particularily tricky as you have to brake early-drift on the throttle to loose more speed through the left hander-then brake hard as possible for the hairpin proper. By the end of the race I found I was taking the complex significantly faster than the guys I raced with. If anything I find that corner harder in the 65's than the 67's! Any chance of a numpty graph Clive? Yes, my bad

Ah; I think that was before they went over Montjuich again to give it a trim and improve online performance.

Thanks for the input Nicky. Though I have a strong preference for tracks that were used by F1 cars in the sixties, those circuits merit consideration.
Salzburgring 1974- there were no F1 races at this track, since the much better circuit at Zeltweg was purpose-built for the 67 cars. The circuit is like Watkins, except flatter, it would be easy for beginners to learn. The graphics aren't bad- I've always wondered whether the bump at the beginning of the s/f straight and the odd orange-red fencing were features or problems.
Lime Rock Park Mountain Circuit- is an existing UKGPL track, despite the problems we had with it last time out. It's a 'what if' track something like Adelaide 67, since the mountain extension was planned and begun but not completed. Its longer than Watkins, which is an advantage, and not difficult to learn. It lacks spectators and extras but otherwise the graphics aren't bad.
Crystal Palace- was used for races in the early sixties, but not later, probably because it's short and would cause lapping problems. Easy to learn though, graphics are okay, even good with the updates. Another flat track- Snetterton is on the UKGPL list, has more history and is a longer track.
A further problem is which tracks to replace- Clermont for Rouen is more obvious and would be closer to the 65 season. Mosport is one option, but for chassis balance purposes I'd prefer to have more twisty tracks, especially ones that beginners can learn.

Crystal Palace is too short and narrow for us mere mortal novices.
Well, me anyway.

Crystal is a good run, though does require patience and building up to a pass in online races rather than gung-ho efforts

I've just downloaded Donnington national in preperation for my trackday next month OK to look at and not a million miles off the GTL/GTR versions. I recon it has good potential for online racing Or if you want twisty how about Cadwell?

Lime Rock Park and Crystal Palace are among my absolute favourites, but I wouldn't say that LRP is "easy to learn". I remember having a really hard time getting to grips with that track in the -67's at least, but it's really fun to drive when you get the hang of it. My first race there in NGPLS was one of my best, and only a blown engine before the last turn on the last lap cost me a sixth or seventh place. Next chance was a couple of seasons later, but I was definitely not friends with it then, so it needs a lot of practice to get right. At least in the -67's it does. I don't think I have driven it in -65's. On Crystal Palace I've only hotlapped, so I don't know how it is racingwise, but it's really fun to drive.

Have often wondered what a proper race there would be like though so it gets my vote if considered
