UKGPL Season 22 (2011-2012) Intermediate (65) - Monza -Dec 13

First time I rode another car that Ferrari  . The 6-speed Honda. After a period of adaptation, good feeling. 
During the first lap, two players in front of me crash at the Parabolica, and I come back to Axel. A few kilometers later, I overtake him, then he makes a mistake  . I find myself alone in first position, until the end, while running as savages, Axel & Dave catch me, but too late. 

Great racer, s'later guys.

That would be us Sky, we ended up comprimising each others race, sorry. While I managed, after a shift-r/stop n go, to finish the race you clearly had further problems, better luck next time. Ditto to Geoff who also had a race to forget. As a consequence we let Max, Axl and Dave off the hook. Only joking well done to the podium trio.

Getting the pole with a little help of Bernies tow
From the start I could stay in the lead for 3 laps...
But my tow was also good for my followers and Max had set the "riceburners" gears to the little reserve revs for a passing in tow.
I followed him close through Curva Grande and in between the Lesmos I nearly kissed his gearbox, I lifted and got a big kick in mine by Geoff.
Luckily I could move on unharmed, but had lost some places.
Fighting my way back to the podium I could pass JonnyO, but then had a long and exiting fight with David to the finish line.
We celebrated this perfect slipstream games, but it did not help much to catch Max...
After some fighting David understood this and we could close the gap to Max significantly, but too late.

All in all a phantastic race thanks to all participants

Yes, it was a fantastic race with Axel ! I did a surprising best lap  although I was only 10th on the grid ! Thanks to the slipstream and to Axel's BRM.

Axel, you are right, maybe we could join Maxime if we made a constructive race and did not overtake each other several times per lap. I understood that but too late ...
By the way, we are not in the same team and these alliance are strictly forbidden 

Congratulations to Maxime : first race in UKGPL 65 mode and first win. !!!

Fine with the fine mate , didnt make much difference to the overall results in the end , though it would have been good to do a clean race it hardly ruined my personal championship hopes and soggie botts are on a downer atm But me and Mike will be back
