Hi Guys,

If there is still space I'd like to drive too, Lotus would be my preference but I'll drive whatever you'd like me to.

I checked this thread the other day and there were few posts, now there are 5 pages!!

Philippe - Snowglen is different to Watkins Glen - there is a download link at the top of this page OR the link posted by Cookie (page 3?). But Snowglen drives exactly the same as Watkins.

I have also changed the post at the top of this thread to allocate everyone a chassis & a grid.
We have 28 sign ups - 7 Elves & 7 Santas on each Grid - thanks for your support!

There is room for some last minute entrants - but please sign into IGOR before 9.00 tomorrow - we will do our best to sort you out.

I think I'll be home in time for this one...not 100% certainly, but i'll try to be home in time.

My preference is Ferrari, but any car is good for me Smiley

It seems to me that there appears to be far too much fun taking place in them there '65s!
If there is room at the back for a small slow one, then I'm interested!  Consider me last resort, 2nd reserve.  FUN right?!

<RAMBLE>
However, I should add...
I've just downloaded the track & random setups for both challengers.  This along with the fact that this would be my first '65 'race' could be real humbling experience!   By driving similar style to the '67s (i.e badly!) a couple of recce laps in both shows time of 1:15.  I assume that is nothing to be proud of,  but the subject does state 'FUN'... Smiley

No preference either way & not enough experience.  If they can be compared to the '67s,  then possibly the red one is less likely to end up spewing it's component parts over the track with me at the wheel.
</RAMBLE>

ok, not the greatest CV ever;  but maybe I can muster up a point or two.   But the emphasis is FUN right?!

Cheers,
Dave.

You shouldn't worry about mechanical damage, Dave, the 65s are quite reliable, even if you abuse them. I don't recall seeing a Lotus blow up, ever!  Roll Eyes A Ferrari maybe just once, in my own hands lol...

Hi all,is it worth mentioning that the race length is longer that the normal Int long of 24 laps, or is it known to the majority that you don't always run as gpl sets up? In my ignorance of racing on line I thought i'd check.

We can do tricky little things like resetting the race distance in the track.ini    Wink

Well done everyone, great fun and thanks to Billy for organising and Cookie for Server and Replays.

Alright, Santas won Sad

This is without the points deductions for SnG but it didn't make any difference in the end...

Thanks for the event, allowing my late entry & analysis.  Thanks also for sticking me with the reds! Smiley

Well done teamies - hopefully I didn't impede you too much.  Over the sleigh bells I could just about hear "Now,  other Santas are faster than you...  Wink      [of course, that would work better with "Elfonso"....]

Started again from the ideal viewing position (the back).  By the time the race had settled down, it was quite lonely out there - although Prib certainly made it clear that any mistakes would have meant losing out somewhat.

A couple of brief ding-dongs,  but hopefully no resulting issues.

I'm new to the '65s, but was quite pleased to have knocked nearly 5secs off my previous PB (although admittedly that was after about my previous 3 laps round this snowy version in '65 chassis).   I feel my suspicions were correct though,  1:15 would not have been particularly competitive round here.

All in all, pleased to remain unlapped round such a short circuit & end up in the top 10.  Admittedly, I probably made most time from not requiring a S&G.

Thanks once more, we must do this again some time!

Cheers,
Dave.
