Went back to have a go at Laguna afterwards as Mini drove that race...

I couldn't even break 1:14. My lack of practice is really showing. They are fun though.

Had a play with the set-ups & by trial & error have found something which earned me a 1.10.1 lap at Laguna.
Have to agree the BT23 is the best option.

I had very little practice for Laguna in the F2's and I had no setup for the Lola FVA that I chose because I liked the name.

One thing to remember about Laguna, if you happen to use a setup from another circuit, is that Laguna is an anticlockwise circuit whereas most tracks are Clockwise. So any assymetric setups need to be reversed to work.

I have found that the torque band on the FVA allows the engine to pull quite strongly from about 8k ( the BMW option is different and you need to keep the engine in a narrow rev range around 9k to make it go well) .
The handling on the F2's seemed very understeery as default and I found that I had to give it quite a radical diff ( 45/60 I think?) to make it turn when I wanted it to.

Also the phrase "drive it like you stole it" is pretty good advice, with the one proviso that you try and avoid getting too sideways as that just scrubs of speed in the corners. Just like the 65's, I find that carrying as much momentum as you can through the corners is crucial although these F2's do seem to have more grunt and acceleration.
