An exotic trip to Tunisia in north Africa beckons for the Works drivers as they head off to Carthage. This is a very fast track so those with tokens to spend should do well here. Joe made it six out of six last time as the rest of the pack continue to trail in his wake. Race list | iGOR | Server | UKGPL_GPG | IP address | 62.195.32.131 | Date | 19-02-2012 | Race time | Race starts at 21:30 UK time | Qualifying time | Between 30 and 60 minutes, starting no later than 21:00 UK time | Track | Carthage 35 | Mod | 67 | Damage model | PRO | Race length | 16 laps |
Reserve drivers please note; you must leave the server with 35 minutes of qualifying left, for a total of 5 minutes, to allow full timers to join. The red zone will be fully moderated for lap 1 only. For this event the red zone will be from the start line to the exit of T2, Soukra. Other moderation will be on reported incidents only. The chassis token system is explained on the Works standings page. Please ensure you choose a chassis that is within your budget, which can be seen by hovering the mouse over your points total in the standings.

I have waited long for a revenge race here after leading most of it 3 secs in front of H last time. 1000 times Iv e looked at what seem like I forgot to turn the wheel on rpy. Cant remember practiced so much in front of a race ever before. BUT.... theres been a trainaccident in Norway and they need all drivers cause of a spli solution with trains in both ends of the accidentplace. I ve asked both office and colleagues but no way to get away from work. GL all .

Does anybody have any fixes for this track? My screen keeps going black at random times. Could be two laps or 8 laps. Do I need to completely reinstall GPL from the beginning?
Thanks,
Malcolm

Never had any problems with this track myself. In fact we both raced there back in Season 19 in the graduates. Did you have any issues then?
Before anything else, try uninstalling and reinstalling the individual track itself first. Good luck.

Well, I'm pissed. All race my shifter was playing up whenever I was in 5th gear. I kept buzzing the engine until the enviatable happened towards the end of the race, when I buzzed my engine . Might have to revert back to a sequential gearbox at this rate. Shame my hardware was letting me down as I was driving a pretty good race in 3rd place. Was hoping for a half decent result after a dismal first half. Congrats to all finishers .

Congratulations to who ever survived/won.
I spent half an hour trying to get to this page to find the password, SR UK was running very slow.
Spun on my only qualifying lap, unfortunately collecting John Roberts, sorry John.
Started last and was promptly bundled into the wall at the first corner.
Wish I hadn't bothered really.

There's nothing quite like taking down the Championship series leader at T1 on L1. MOTHER OF MERCY! My profound apologies, Joe. 'Twas I that clipped you and sent you into the sandbags. I was trying to be extremely careful on the run into this first corner and eased out of the throttle plenty early. Trouble was that I managed to mount the kerbing on the right and this propelled my BRM out into the middle of the roadway leaving you nowhere to go. My bad... Further, in looping about on the track after that initial contact, I collected Malcolm's Honda. So sorry for that, hannah. At least you were able to resume. I hate to sound like I'm beating the same old dead horse but again, my vision failed me. I ran a minimum of qualifying laps to preserve the eyeballs but could tell that I was going to be in trouble. I must, therefore, adopt a policy of: ABSOLUTELY NO COMPUTER WORK PRIOR TO THE UKGPL EVENTS. That goes for both the Works and GT events. I'm sure that this will aid me no end since, for the most part, on-line races during the week go off with little trouble as I'm at work all day and not on computers. Live and learn...

Well, what can I say, totalling someone from behind and ending their race is probably the most unexcusable mistake you can do. Really really sorry Al, the plan was to stay reasonably close to take you back on the second straight, I thought the distance was ok, and you get at that bend of T1 at top speed anyway even without a tow, so I braked at the usual 200m...totally taken by surprise by the amount of brake you put there..I wish I had an excuse, but I dont. I simply was too much in a haste to get back my position, and forgot the golden rule of checking the braking point of the guy you are chasing for a lap or so before you try to put in the pass, my apologies.
As for my race, bogged it at the start, lost touch with the leader who was flying, was 20 secs behind by lap 5 or 6, so settled for second, which actually shouldnt even stand, so not the best of the races for me as well...Grats Tommie, great pace and brilliant race.
