Season 35 – 1966 Grand Prix – Round 9 – Nürburgring
Round 9 of the Historics Trophy takes us to the Nürburgring-Nordschleife in Germany. It has enjoyed a reputation as a terrifying and merciless route through the Eifel forest. An English journalist who visited the Nordschleife during the opening race on 18 June 1927 concluded “that it seemed as if a reeling, drunken giant had been sent out to determine the route”. The Formula 1 driver Jackie Stewart – a three-time world champion in 1969, 1971 and 1973 – was so impressed by the circuit that he gave it the name it will probably never lose: the Green Hell (Grüne Hölle). Racing and winning on the Nordschleife has always been very special for racing drivers, because the track is one of the most demanding in the world. Tricky corners, treacherous crests, steep inclines and gradients and constantly changing road surfaces demand great skill from the drivers and provides the cars with a very hard test.
The full time drivers can start to practice as soon as the server is available. Reserve drivers can also join as soon as the server becomes available but must leave the server with 35 minutes of qualifying left, for a total of 5 minutes; this will allow any remaining full timers to join. If there is enough space on the grid, the reserve drivers will be able to rejoin when there are 30 mins of qualifying left. Please read the championship specific rules on the championship standings page. Password: see above (2) Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page - 1966
There is no Red Zone. Moderating will be on reported incidents only. Remember that lap 1 incidents carry an additional penalty place.
The chassis token system is explained on the Historics Trophy standings page.
Please restrict chat to pit messages including at the end of the race until ALL drivers still racing have crossed the line.
A driver must have sufficient tokens for the chassis he drives in the race. Any driver who does not have sufficient tokens will be disqualified from the result and his tokens will be set to zero.
The chassis a driver uses in qualifying are disregarded when determining his token spend. Note: This is to cater for the instances when a driver either does not start or inadvertently joins with the wrong chassis and subsequently rejoins the server in another.
Any tokens not spent at the end of the season are ignored and are not used to determine championship positions in the event of a tie.
PRO rules means Shift-Rs are not allowed at any time and the damage model is realistic. Drivers must complete 50% race distance to score.

Would be obliged if somebody can post the IP address for tomorrow's race. My machine refuses to connect to IGOR. I think it is something related to the firewall & I have spent a couple of hours trying to fix this with no luck. My only option is to join via the IP address. Thanks.

Aggghhh!!! Having a great battle with David and Andreas when I made a small mistake and they were through. Held on to them for the next couple of miles until I clipped a fence and lost two wheels. It was only a minor tap, I've survived much worse fully intact. But that's racing. Good luck gents, it will be a race of attrition.

You must have been dropped from the server. It happens sometimes. The mods will check the replay, work out what the replay time was when you finished and they will reinstate you. Grats on finishing Fran. You did much better than me tonight

Many thanks for helping out with the IP address. I think I have now worked out a way of temporarily disabling my AV software. Despite having set permissions for IGOR it still insists on blocking access. After all fuss my car control just wasn't working tonight. I had enough token for the 3L Ferrari but just could not keep it on track. Swapped for the 2L Ferrari which went where I wanted it to go 9rather slowly) but a small accident on lap 3 lost a wheel. Not quite enough distance for points. Never mind.

I saw the race and it seems you have been lost by the server but you finished 5th this race. It will give me some works and I will need some help to update the results Nice battle with Andreas and Phil during 2 laps. At lap3, I saw EvilClive at the bottom of the race so I decided to drive in a cool way but I made a silly mistake and that ended my race By the way, it seems I will win this championship after EvilClive DNF. Grats to Uli, Tristan (finishing the race with 3 wheels ) and Andreas for the podium.
