I bought this monster because I felt that it was such a good deal at my local Lidl store. LG is a decent manufacturer and this would normally be £500+, but was on offer at £275.

TBH I was already considering upgrading to maybe a 30" or maybe a 36" depending on the price and spec, and that would have cost me around £200+. So when I saw this LG 42" 4K advertised at such a good price at Lidl,  I just grabbed one.

I might try some higher resolution pics as these do not show the true crispness of the screen.

I see you've done the same as me.

Even though we drive right hand drive cars, we set up GPL as a left hand drive car.

Yes indeed.
When I was starting with the shifter ( as opposed to the paddle shifts ), I originally placed it to the left of the steering wheel just like in my road car. But there was something disorientating about my left hand going to the gearstick on the left, when the GPL graphics showed a right hand going to the gearstick on the right of the car??!!  Huh Undecided
It must be some subliminal thing, because when I switched the shifter to the R/H side it just felt right....so it has stayed there. But I do have a touch of deja vous when I drive a BRM lol.

Now you should think about your FOV...

Thanks Axel. I have watched the videos and they were very interesting.

I have adjusted my FOV, but without using such scientific measurement. I used a very simple rule..." Can I just see both mirrors?". That works out at around 55 degrees, which strangely is somewhere near the value which the online calculations predict lol.
