Hi Guys, had a decent run last night but wasn't quite fast enough to keep Tris at bay, despite being in a faster car, WD Tris.  I knew you'd be fast after seeing your praccy times on Sat, down in the 1:20s in the BRM!!

In my recent races I've been pretty terrible so my only goal was to see the finish.  I had a few close calls and also punted someone as they lost it and slid broadside down the track, sorry whoever that was, couldn't avoid you, hope you could continue.

Thanks for the racing, see you next time,

Bob

Hi guys,

thanks again for all the advise. I talked to Cookie and it seems as his suggestions solves the problem. I did a new GPL install using the GPLPS Installer instead of the 2004 Demo. I was now able to join the practice server with the car I selected beforehand in igor. I also had 5 gears and was able to select setups from my player profile. Looks quite good so far.

I only will have to test if I will be able to join a race when there is already someone on the server.

@ Markus,

For port details,  in iGOR:  Help-> HTML Documentation.  Then select iGOR Technical
This lists ports requied for iGOR as well as GPL.

I've put UKGPL_11 online with the next Sprint track (ba55n2).

Cheers,
Dave.

What sort of target time should I be looking at at Buenos Aires? Took a spin in a Cooper earlier on (actually a few spins) and whilst I am getting to grips with them again, these 67 beasties are challenging.

Don't seem to be able to get the tyre temperatures up to green either. Don't think I am allowing then to drift enough tbh.

I received an email this afternoon from an unnamed UKGPL administrator that directed me to a private message ( https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=pm#82361). It may be a complaint about the worthless exhibition I made of myself at Kyalami, but unfortunately the link to which I am directed is a moderator's report not of that race but of last season's race at Zandvoort.

I would appreciate knowing what is going on, so perhaps I could be informed either here or via email ([email protected]). Thanks.

Pepe read the reports of the Zandy race under the results table,
this is an automatic mail send to you by the system and anyone mentioned there.

The joint venture with GPLBrasil made the points system going crazy that is implemented in UKGPL, so it had to be manually corrected,
and so bonus points are given as negative penalties...
