I know you are a very good and safe driver but you did 2 bad rejoins on track just when I was coming. . . Are you using (and looking at) Pribluda ?

I am, but you're right. Both of those rejoins were awful. I'm really sorry. It won't happen again.

I followed Pepe for a while and thought from the way the car was going he was using a keyboard to drive.

It looks to me like you could use my keyboard, joystick, and Xbox controller, bud. They were good enough to finish on the same lap with the winner.

Are you really using your keyboard ?  Shocked Shocked
If this is right, or even with a joystick, you are incredibly fast !

No, I've got the usual Thrustmaster wheel and pedals. I didn't know how else to respond to such a cheap shot from a guy who finished eleven laps behind me.

Pepe I wasn't insulting your driving by any means and I'm sorry you take offense by my suggesting you might have a good reason for the bad rejoin .
If you look again you will see I didn't "finish" the race , so the -11 laps is not really a reflection on my driving ability is it
Read my previous post where you will see I had a big dose of cramp in my left hand which made it extremely difficult to steer properly or to down shift resulting in a blown engine .
Not the fastest driver in the world by a long shot but I do my best as always and enjoy racing at the back with drivers of similar ability
What a pity , we cant all be superstars  Cry

This wasn't as easy as the numbers show. The most trouble I had was lapping backmarkers, only becouse they would spin in front of me in the mountain sections. The last one we even had a colision and the guardrail held me from running down the clif.

Phil was as constand driver as ever and made me keep concentration at a high the whole time.
I tried my best to put you under pressure but you drove with precision and consistency. The gap edged up very gradually throughout the race, it didn't change in leaps and bounds so you clearly made no mistakes. Great driving.

I agree the backmarkers made it interesting, especially around Forrest's Elbow. There is no escape there if a car gets stuck in the middle of the track. I saw someone get into trouble and in an effort to avoid them I instinctively slammed on the anchors down "The Dipper" which unsettled the car massively and it nearly ended in tears. Luckily I got away with it.

Overall I was very pleased with my race. I couldn't take the Eagle again and I wanted to save my second outing in the Lotus for the last round, so I had to choose between the Brabham and the Ferrari. I tried them both (offline) and I found the Brabham easier to drive, more torque and hence less gear changes around the twisty mountain section.

Grats to Dulima on a podium place, the first corner on lap 1 was a bit tight. I left my braking as late as I dared because I didn't want to get mobbed by the numerous Eagles and Lotus's around me. I didn't run wide so it was a clean move. Thanks for being fair and not trying to block me.

You are a superstar in my book Bernie, and so are you Pepe. We are all friends here and just out to have fun. No need to fall out over a misunderstanding  Wink

pribluda patches the gpl.exe, so you must run GEM+ first to get the gplc67.exe unpatched Wink
Thanks for the reminder to rebuild the .exe, one more time!  Embarrassed

Item of interest for all Moderators  :  There were tools made which identify every reset made, during a race.  These help locate stop & go penalties for revue.  Replay's suggest they are not always used.
