I threw it all away on L2 tryng to take the Masta kinks too fast with full tank of fuel. Had fun with Fulvio and Giovanni with about 5 laps to go and then went from 5th to 2nd gear on Burnenville. Oops. Dave Rainier and I had fun chasing each other down but on the last lap we collided at the Masta kinks. No problem - just racing  laugh

Not a great evening. I was too tired to concentrate and made silly mistakes. See you all next time

Pete

Sorry Pete !
I had a look to the mirrors to see where you was, when entering Masta...
It was the only action not to do in such a place !

Apologies for the late filing of this report, chaps.  Not enough hours in the day sometimes.

Anytime you grid-up P10 and come home just one spot shy of the victory can mean only two things.  You're damn good or...  You're damn lucky.  Coming away from this round with a P2 placing, I should think that my fates laid largely with the latter.

Only real dramas were over and down with after just two laps.  The first was on Lap01 in having a minor heart attack in finding Uli's Honda parked on the left side of the road part way through Burnenville.  Only just missed him by a whisker.  Another two centimetres to the left and I'd have been KO'd for sure.  The other drama was following Andreas.  As has been the case recently, his signal was very poor and in the region of Blanchimont, his Eagle was bouncing around and winking out most dreadfully.  I kept my distance not knowing for sure where he might be.  On Lap02, I took the plunge and made a pass bid at the Masta kink that paid off so I was happy to put AG in my mirrors.

As the race developed, I rose the leaderboard as others suffered assorted troubles and even had a sniff of the lead at one point.  Late in the going, I was getting fatigued and feared error so just settled into a pace that was looking solid for a podium.  Zui came to grief in a battle with Axel on the last lap in Blanchimont to hand me the runner-up finish.  Not too shabby.

Grats to Axel on the win, Zui for recovering for P3 and to all finishers.
