I will be travelling to Madrid on Friday to spend Christmas and New Year with our daughter and grandson. I will therefore be absent from the last races of the current championships. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2022. Thank you very much for organising all this and we will see you next year.

Hi everyone. What a fantastic series this has been. Huge thanks to Cookie for organising. I very nearly didn't sign up to this as I thought that I would be hopeless and be wasting my Friday evenings. As it turns out, these cars seem to suit my driving style.  clap   (Weirdly, I'm quickest in these and the 55s).

Thanks to Yannick for the tow in qualifying which gave me pole by 0.002 of a second. Bad luck Tris with your fuel load; you should have been up the front keeping Yannick company. Thanks to Cookie and Doni for the company most of the race, some close racing there and a lot of respect for your race-manners. I made a slip on L22 and let Doni through to take the third spot on the podium. I took it easy until the end after my shift-R with a heavy fuel load and cold tyres. I knew that if my maths was correct, all I needed was a P6 finish to secure the Championship. A job made easy by the small grid and the demise of Tris and Evil.

I can't quite believe that I've come out on top as I'm not the quickest driver. I've made too many silly mistakes but I've also had my share of luck (P1 at Spa was a gift after a crash ahead with two laps to go). All in all, a pretty consistent season and it's been a lot of fun. Thanks to everyone for making it so enjoyable. Let's hope that we drive the CANAM cars again.

Cheers,

Pete

Congratulations Pete for winning the CanAm championship.
Also thanks to the admins for hosting this championship. I really enjoyed driving these cars again.
The Porsche was quite fun to drive despite not being the fastest. Despite winning half the races I still came short to top the standings.
That's on me for not showing up twice.

This track/mod combination is going into my favourites. They fit each other incredibly well with the many straights and long fast corners.

Pretty straightforward race for me.

A thin starting field as some our 'usual suspects' were MIA.  Too bad.  You missed a stormer.

Bravo to Yannick on the race win!  Good show.  Axel a good job for P2.  Well done.  And a surprising if lucky P3 for myself thanks to Monsieur Bot's faux pas and Pete's momentary but costly lapse.

A good roller start...for a change...and off we went.  I was running well and pleased to see that I was able to stick fairly close to Pete and Axel.  Indeed, at mid-race, there couldn't have been more than 2-3 seconds between the trio of us.  Yannick was long gone.  Only a slight but costly gaffe by Pete in losing a wheel on a barrier let me pass to chase Axel but I could make no headway against the McLaren.  Managed to wing it on home to finish a pleasing P3.

As for our season championship, well now...  Pete!  You dawg!  Congratulations!  It seems that these dynamite rocket sleds appeal to you.  A win and some good placings earned you the title laurels.  Well done.  Yannick a good P2 even though a DNE at a couple of rounds.  And Axel with P3 in the final standings.  Good show.

I was hoping for a little better than P5 in the standings but a gruesome end to my race in the Porsche at Wegberg cost me any chance of a podium.  I found the Lola T222 quite a good ride and enjoyed numerous spars with Phil.

My thanks to the club for hosting and organizing.
