For clarification, are we allowed to select whatever car we have left to choose,
or do you have to stick with the selection of the aborted run?

Grats Axel for the win in Spa and for the championship !
You have finished all the races of this SCX championship, while you didn't finished any of the 67's race (event 75% of the distance)  Shocked

It's good to see that the incident between Tristan and Doni, on the last lap of Assen race, had no impact on the championship.

...a riddle from a Monty Python sketch circa 1970...

'What's brown and sounds like a bell?'

Answer...

Dunnnggg...

That answer just as easily could have been a Ford Mk4 as both Pete and I found yesterday at Spa.  For our original race, I had the big Ford working not too terribly bad but yesterday, it was just a slug.  I suffered three...yes, three...incidents entering Stavelot as I clipped the sticky grass on the apex sending the big turd into lurid slides.  I survived the first two but the last ended my day.  As I'd already consumed a reset from banging fenders with Dave's Chaparral, it was time to park it.

Greg seemingly disco'd from a good lead.  BOOO!  Axel coming home for the win and snagging the championship title.  Well done, Cookie!

This wraps S40 here at the UKGPL.  My thanks to organizers and see you for S41!

Sorry for that, I remember I was struggling in the middle of the track trying to not definitively lose the control of my car when you hit my Chap 2D, my fault.

I made several mistakes in the 2 or 3 first laps and burned my engine on last lap, but I am happy for some nice laps I did.

Well done Axel Wink you deserve this championship and I am happy for you , Bravo !...
.... I had a good start from P2 and can overtake Axel with the slipstream but I go while and hit the barrieres ....Axel pass....but my car had a engine problem , I can't take all the speed I want and so I quickly realize that I will not be able to hunt Axel and the Championship is over for me ....no problemo ! ...I will try to be better next season Grin ...
Thx all moderators , Org. and racers for this good season and see you maybe next one Smiley wheelchair rockon

Congrats Axel! It´s good to see you win the championship with a strong finish to the season. If I had won the race, you still would have won. As Tristan said, Bravo!

The championship looked very interesting going into this race. Some didn´t realize that Axel would beat Tristan even if Tristan won the last race. He would have finished with 310 points with a win while Axel already had 311 entering this race. I thought Yannick might be champion. He had the 2F available for this race which likely would have allowed him to dominate all of us. I knew I needed Yannick to fail to finish, and I needed to win and have Axel finish no higher than 3rd.

I drove several stints in the Ford over the previous week. I wanted to be as well prepared as I could be for this race. It´s not an enjoyable car to drive here. Occasionally at La Carriere, it was a bit exhilarating if I could get the line just right. I thought it´s high top speed might make it a little faster than the Ferrari and I would guess the Ford is 1 second faster than the Ferrari.

I was in good shape when I lost the connection. I had already started driving conservatively. I was braking 3-5 meters early and doing my best to stay well within my limits. I didn´t feel very good so I had no intention of pushing myself or the car like I´ve done most of the races this last month or so.

Another thing interesting about this season was I got to drive another car with a paint job I had never driven before. When I started qualifying, I thought I was in the yellow car but I quickly noticed the car was changing color depending on which direction it was facing the sun. The Mirage does that too. I had to check it´s color after my first stint. Beige, the same color as the grass in my area. Luckily we´re starting to get some rain after almost 3 months so maybe the grass will finally turn green this year.

It´s a shame I didn´t get to finish. The electricity was cut to my home for a second or two. I never heard any thunder and it hadn´t start to rain yet so I wasn´t expecting any problems. After the power cut I checked the weather radar and saw there was some lightning about 10 miles to the northeast. I guess that´s what cut the electricity.

Thanks for the fun guys. I was happy to break into the 3:22s with the Ford and I enjoyed working on my setup for the car. And I´m glad that Axel finished well enough that I couldn´t have been champion even if I had won.

Take care guys and thanks for letting me race with you.

You know that some people are different
Now ain't that a crying shame
Now wouldn't it be a real drag if we were all the same
