Season 42 - FUN RACE & Server Test HETHELAfter the disappointment of the server crash at Ingliston, UKGPL07 has been re-built and is enjoying a fresh install of Linux Mint 21.1 OS. The early signs are looking good but I would be happier if we could test it online in a FUN race before the next Championship race. Please join us this FRIDAY 17th FEB for some online fun. Why Hethel? Easy... it's great for the 1965 cars, it's another real British track and hey, it's a test-track. Yes, you can even drive the Ferrari OR the Honda for this FUN race

HELPI don't understand how to get this track up and running , I have d/l and unpacked it but don't see way to install it or any exe files or installation instructions

HELPI have d/l and unpacked it but don't see way to install it or any exe files or installation instructions Looks as though it’s a zip of the installed track folder. As you have unpacked it, copy the resulting hethel50 folder to your gpl\tracks folder. No actual installation .exe to run. However, will mean no helpful option to add the track to your season.ini - so just add the track via GEM+ season manager. Cheers, Dave. |

I raced with you for a while, was I invisible. Pribluda gave me strange position about Axel and Phil. Sometimes they were like lapping me , sometimes ahead. Some nice battles, too bad a misundarstanding lapping Bernie, and maybe passing Phil after his off at hairpin??? Same happened early race with Axel that disappeared after last turn after I passed him. Have to check replay. Nice track to test setups  |

Thanks for coming to test, guys. The server UKGPL07 seems solid but I need to investigate the strange PRIBLUDA behaviour. I had the lead on lap 2 and thought that everyone had gone missing so I pulled over to look at the CHAT on the server screen next to me. No untoward chatter but then I was in 10th before I could rejoin. Lots of drivers who had vanished from Prib were suddenly very real and ahead of me. I had a blast chasing down the pack and I must apologise to Clive for the coming together as we exited the last bend. I was trying to keep my BRM to the right but I guess that there was not quite enough room and our tyres touched. So sorry  But, the main object of the evening was to test the server and have fun. Hopefully both were achieved. See you again soon. |
