Grats to the podiums and finishers.

Apologies for quitting mid race, but I was too tired to concentrate properly. Being the generous individual that I am I had volunteered to collect my neighbour from Birmingham Int airport when he returned from Jamaica. After I had made the offer they told me that their flight arrived at 7a.m. !! which meant that I had to be on the road before 5:30 a.m.
I managed to stay half awake for the early laps but gradually the mistakes became more numerous and more dramatic, so before I destroyed anyone else's fun I parked the car and got some zzzzzzz's

You still managed to be within a 1000th of a second of my best time, despite being half asleep!

Grats to Pete on a brilliant win. That's 5 different winners in the Works this season, a very competitive series.

Well, that was a pleasant surprise.  Grin

I didn't have any time to practise before qualifying and I had to build a set-up from scratch so P9 on the grid was about the best I could hope for, even with the extra grunt of the BT26. Handling wasn't great so I took a risk and added more wing to both ends of the car before the race. Fingers crossed. For once I made a good start and picked up a couple of places before T1. I was carrying too much wing to be a threat to anyone on the straights but the corners were sublime. I managed to keep on the back of the leading pack of 5 or 6 and benefited from engines exploding and drivers ahead taking detours. (I'm doing this from memory and I've not seen a replay so please forgive me for not mentioning many names.)

I did have many laps in a three way battle with Andreas and Uli. That was a blast. Great driving guys with lots of side-by-side action. We all made a few mistakes but at the end of the day, I got lucky. Very happy with a P1 and a fastest lap as an added bonus. The BT26 has made a dent in my token tally but on this occasion, tokens well spent. Great racing everyone - see you next time.

Short race for me, a tangle with Fulvio in T1 bent my car to the extent that I had to steer hard to keep it straight.  Stayed in it for a couple of laps...not sure why, then binned it at Abbey a few laps later.  Only consolation is that I took a cheap car!

Cheers,

Bob

After two races, which for different reasons I could not see the checkered flag, I decided before starting that my only goal was to arrive. Therefore I had two things in mind: 1st not to dispute with anyone any position and 2nd not to pass the 9500 rpm Cosworth under any circumstances. For the latter I took the whole race Copse and Stowe in 3rd gear. Only at the end I went a bit out of the script when Martin's Ferrari seemed to me to have some difficulty because it slowed down.
Congratulations to Martin and commiserations to those who retired.
Thanks to the organizers, it's a pity that the privateers barely reached 10 cars.
See you at VIR, because I am taking a vacation to visit my daughter, son-in-law and my GRANDCHILDREN in Madrid.

Congratulations Pete and Andreas – that was one of the races I will never forget!
As Pete wrote, it was a real blast! It got more exciting with every lap and was a hard work to do with that heavy MS84, no chance of keeping up with you when accelerating out of the corners. I could only hope to keep the gap, waiting for your little mistake (I had half a dozen of them). In the end it was a fantastic race, the highlight of the season so far. Let‘s do it again ... Grin

I had vary bad fps hits during the race, it affected the driving too much and I decided to park the car before pushing someone out of the track.

The fps problem started to affect other mods and I tried to change some settings. Nothing worked and I decided to update GPU drivers. Now GPL won't start, I get stuck in the descktop screen with a very low resolution  Cry

Yeah, that was absolutely brilliant. In the end, all three of us finished about within a second on the podium. You can hardly do better than that.  Cool

I had very bad FPS a few races ago, for some reason the NVIDIA Control Panel had lost my 3D settings for each of the GPL executables. In fact the NVIDIA Control Panel had stopped working and the only way I could get it working again was to update the drivers which bundled an update of Control Panel. I was then able to recreate my 3D settings for each of the GPL executables and I'm back up and running again.

I don't normally upgrade the drivers because I've had trouble doing this in the past. But in this case I had no choice.

Are you using an NVIDIA or a Radeon card?

It's a radeon card integrated.

Looks like it doesn't work with Open GL v2, but i found it works with Direct 3D v2, that doesn't look so smooth. Latter I'll try to revert to an older driver.

I've had similar problems in the past when an updated driver didn't work and I had to revert. Hence my reluctance to update unless I have to.

Hope you get it sorted soon.

I had the same problem some months ago. Only way was to update.
