UK changes to BST (British Summer Time) tonight so the race start will effectively be an hour earlier tomorrow. The registration threads always show the time zone for the UK. I think most european countries change on the same day but I'm not sure about North and South America.

Agreed, very strange.

What browser are you using? I can see all driver's tokens. I'm using Microsoft Edge Version 111.0.1661.54 (Official build) (64-bit).

I've also tried Firefox 111.0.1 (64-bit), and that works fine for me too.

Sorry about the contact (x2) Doni. I waited for you on both occasions but it is of little compensation. I tried to catch up but ended up in a hedge, race over Sad

Disappointed to have been knocked off by Leo as he lapped me. OK, perhaps I should have left more room but surely you could have waited for the next straight. Anyway, not to worry. My race was over and you managed to continue. I would have been in last place in the BRM anyway. See you next time.

Well, everything is working too perfect I believe!!! For me, a disconnection is better than a stupid mistake, I see it as if it were a mechanical problem.....I always remember Jean Pierre Jaboille, imagine how many races the Frenchman stopped his Renault Turbo when he was far away in 1st position !?
This track is really good for my style coming from keyboards, but I left too soon.
  See you next time!

  Congratulations to the podium!

Really sorry for the collision, Pete. I understood you slowed down and was giving me the inside but at the end there was not enough room for us. At least you still classified and got your points.

A pity for Jonny on loosing a certain victory.

I could race a steady pace and managing the distance to the ones behind me kept me focused to avoind any mistakes.

First things first...  Gotta say that I'd rather chew on tin foil than drive Rio.  Despite considerable pre-race trials, I never got comfortable with the place.  Went through a whole host of gearing adjustments and still haven't found the sweet spot.  The first corner is a breeze but after that, it becomes a real challenge.  Others must feel the same, too, judging by the first lap when fully three runners fell off the road ahead of me.

Gutted to see my Latin amigo, Jonny, disco'd from a solid lead.  Sigh...

Phil out-qualified me and I suppose that wasn't surprising considering my distaste for the circuit but on Lap01, he was one of the three to fall off the road and I got ahead of him.  Up from a P9 start to P6 and with doubts as to my holding it.  Cue the 'Phil & Doni Show, Redux'.  Smiley  Phil was immediately on my case giving me fits everywhere.  Only the extra pace of the Brabham on the main straight kept me ahead.  On Lap03, I took up my brake point for T2, a corner which I find quite difficult to get spot-on, at the usual place but this caught Phil off-guard and he clipped my tail.  Off onto the grass infield to lose places but Phil kindly waited for me to rejoin.  The battle resumed with Phil giving his all to engineer a pass.  Lap10 and PT had a great run on me going into T1 so I left lots of room down low but I prevailed.  Later in the same lap, I saw him move to my right as I set for T7 but as in previous laps, I didn't think it was a serious bid.  Perhaps...and I say again, perhaps, as I don't really recall at the time...I saw his LF wheel come alongside at the last instant as from my cockpit view in replay, I see a slight turn of my steering wheel to the left in an effort to give him room.  But it was too late.  We collided with me off the road comprehensively but as before, Phil chose to wait and allow me to get the place back.  I don't blame Phil in the least for the contact and in fact, in viewing the replay cap, I think that I carved over on him thinking that his thrust up the inside was a bluff.  Sorry, PT.  My bad.  I can only think that these two incidents put Phil in a bad frame of mind as his race from that point on went into the dumper.

I recovered from this to take up P9 just ahead of Pete but gradually put some distance between us.  At this point, I was in cruise mode taking T5, T6 and T7 in 3rd gear to save the engine and reduce the chances of wheelspin.  Quite amazed to find that my fastest lap was on Lap32 not far off my qualifying marker.  Picked up a place with JJ's disco and finally made off with a P7 finish thanks to Clive's late-race DNF.

Glad to see this one in my mirrors.

It isn't one of my favourite tracks either Doni. I'm glad I didn't invest a lot of tokens here. On the first lap the track was like ice, it took a while for the cold tyres to start to find any grip. Consequently I went wide on lap 1 and lost a few places. Doni summed my race up pretty well, the Cooper was better than the Brab in the slow bits but it didn't have the grunt to challenge the Brab on the straights. I tested the water a couple of times before I decided to go for it, unfortunately Doni thought I was bluffing again. Anyway, glad to be moving on to Boreham with a few extra tokens in my pocket.

My attempts at anything resembling a decent performance in the 67's has been ........rubbish? ...lately so after a few laps on this new circuit ( new to me) I was not anticipating any points let alone a finish.
Took the Brab as it would still leave me plenty of tokens to spend if I want to later. but I struggled to get to grips with some deceptively tricky corners.

The race was a surprise and I picked up a couple of places to be following the leading bunch ( Jonny had checked out at the front and was over the horizon) I could just about match the pace and was glad  that I had practised on full tanks.......well I thought that I had practised on full race fuel!!
I was tailing Leo in his Cooper and, when I got a whole lap correct, I could close up on him. When I didn't I lost ground  Undecided. Then I totally missed my braking point and allowed Greg to get within fighting distance and so began a multi lap survival quest trying to fend him off.
Eventually, the pressure told and I screwed up, allowing Greg past. It was about then that I realised that the intense battle had consumed far too much fuel and now I was not going to reach the flag  scared
I tried the ultimate economy run attempting to make 6 laps worth of fuel last for 10 laps with Phillipe closing in from a long way back. I had almost saved enough fuel to crawl to the flag, but Phillipe was definitely  going to get past, but maybe, just maybe,  I could stay ahead of Fulvio.

Then I missed a gear and blew the engine!!!!  blink

Bad luck to say the least, Clive.  I scoped your last laps and was wondering if you were coming up short on petrol.  Didn't pick up that the engine let go.  A good finish up the spout.  Sad
