Congratulations Greg on the victory and championship!
A engine failure has cost my victory and title.
No idea what I did wrong? My Water temperature was always just below red …
I had no problem to control my speed as I want …
EVERYTHING went great, no nervousness, no health problems, EVERYTHING under control - until about lap 12 on the long straight I changed from 3rd to 4th gear ...
Hard to stand.

Congrats Pete, Fulvio, and Andreas! Just surviving did great for us.

I apologize Axel and Clive. I meant to leave more room for Clive. I hoped he would lift sooner than he did. I didn´t want to lift until Clive did. That meant I was too far into the turn to stay off Axel´s car. My troublesome starts finally resulted in a collision. Sad

Congrats Uli! I think you are the real champion. I never drove well enough to think I should be champion. My best hope through the season was to use your slipstream to keep pace and be in a position to get a win if you made any mistakes. Your engine problems were robbery. The best thing I did was I never quit trying no matter how little chance I thought had to beat Uli. I didn´t realize I had a mathematical chance at the championship going into Oulton. I thought it would be another example of Uli showing he´s faster than me. He did exactly I as thought he would in qualifying. He was 1 second faster. I never thought I would match his pace during the race without a slipstream.

If I am champion, it is a fine example of, it´s better to be lucky than good.

Thanks for the fun guys. I´ve got a lot of work to do if I ever really want to challenge Uli driving this mod. He posted some great lap times throughout the season.

Congrats to Andreas and Fulvio! Their participation rate and few, if any, DNFs resulted in good championship standings.

Thanks for the compliments Greg, very kind of you. Already today I can be happy that it was you. Our competition was very fair. We started four times side by side from the first row and never collided !!! You even went into the green instead of risking a collision - there is no way to go with more fairness than you do! You also had one race less! For these reasons alone you deserved the title, apart from your excellent speed.
Luck belongs to it as you said – my motto is: luck is what you have earned, what you had worked for – it is not only achance.
Apart from the three engine failures (always being in the lead, definitely NOT driving at the limit, all after the first quarter of the race!!??), which give me a lot to think about, I also had much fun (mostly in the first five races! For example: Silverstone!! THX to you Andreas an Pete) – plus I was able to learn a lot more about build a setup of the 69 cars.
Also a BIG THANK YOU to Axel and Phil for the good orga and the AWESOME track selection, that was the main reason why I drove with you this season. I only had to make completely new setups for the 3 races MC (because BT24), VIR and Oulton, otherwise I could just take old setups and GO. That was VERY comfortable, meant saving time for preparation.
That was a GREAT SEASON with seven winners in 10 races!
Let‘s do it once more!  Grin
Wish you all a nice sommerbreak!

Uli a close P2 in the final standings with a standout year.

Andreas a splendid result with P3 in the title run.  Good show!
