Got the download from fastlane , seems to have installed OK,  but , I cant get it run In GPL .

The fastlane says something about having to have the 67 patch installed

How do I check if I have this and where to get this patch from ?

You need no 67(longtracks)patch if you see the version 1.2.02 in the opening screen of 67s

After the install have you tried the 67s? as it installs in the 67season by default. Now you must add it to 65season.

Take this track as a ride with a motobike - 85% is flat - just obeye all warnings Jim has posted  Grin

I had Logi Momo, G25, G27, fanatec PorscheGT3, Clubsport 2.5 and now CSL DD 8nm

A great drive by Cookie to take the win. I made too many mistakes. Great track and fun to drive, I'm pleased to see most people enjoyed it. The track deserves to be used a bit more often, we need to do justice to Jim's wonderful creation.

Grats to all finishers. If you struggled, please persevere. The track is a joy to drive when you can remember were it goes next  Grin

What a track. 14 years? Crikey. Just when I though that my latest track was ready to release, I realise that it needs about 13 years more work to bring it up to scratch.

Grats to Cookie and ALL finishers. I'm off to add some more trees.

I learned this track when Jim released it, he asked for help to find hidden walls and other traps,
we found some...

Grats to the podium guys and all that finished. I almost bailed out as my FF vanished just after I joined quali. Left the server and went back to GEM and discovered that within CONTROLS all FF settings were back at zero. It was so long ago that I set those that I not a clue as to the required values, so I had to guess and then road test...then adjust and road test...then adjust and road test. Then it cleared them all again!!  bizarre. So I rebooted PC and enetered some random values. The result was surprisingly good except that I had severe vibration at any point that the steering was not under load. Does anyone know which of the 3 parameters needs to be tweaked to eliminate that? because hanging on to the wheel on the fast stretches was most uncomfortable!!

Despite all of that......the 2nd was my best lap ever at this monster, with only 2 resets and a 20+ minute lap lol. For the first time I used Jim Pearson's pace notes, well I used the overhead numbers indicating which gear to use, although for my BT11 I found that it worked better with one gear higher than indicated except on the 1st and 2nd gear corners. If I could just eliminate those places where I ran just half a meter too wide and clipped the grass banks I think I could start to approach Axel and Phil. Greg was motoring along quite quickly too  Wink

As Phil and Cookie have already pointed out, knowing what is around the next blind bend is the key here. As all of  the bends are "blind" that is a serious handicap. The overhead gear suggestions help but they don't tell you everything and I found the verbal pace notes too distracting, so I guess that I will have to do it the hard way and put in another 100 laps??

Congrats Axel and Phil! Clive mentioned 100 laps. I was thinking a similar thought, 100 more laps and I might get close to Axel and Phil´s times. Thanks for the opportunity to learn more about this track.

This track is not so deadly when your top speed is limited to little more than 160 mph. I always had a difficult time staying alive in the Lola T70 whenever I got above 160 mph. It was remarkable that I finished the race without a reset. I did wreck at least 3 times during the race. I´m glad we used INT damage. It´s very unlikely I could finish on Pro damage.

This is the only track I´ve driven the wrong direction after a terrible accident. I think it was Phil I met while I was going the wrong way at 150+ mph in my T70. I did that again Saturday when I was practicing. Luckily nobody else was on the track.

Like Clive, these were my fastest laps yet. 100 laps might be good for a small displacement car, but I think it will take me 200 laps to get a 3.0+ liter car in good shape.

Thanks for the fun.

Very little practice for the race and it showed , I had got familiar with the first few of miles and most parts up to about half way . the problem was having to start from the pits each time  I crashed out , the further you got the longer it took to get back to the crash point for another go .

Could have really done with something like " Ringtrainer " app to break this monster up into sections for training purposes .

Great track though and though challenging was easy to drive with plenty straights to have a breather .

Grats to the podium boys

There is a "trainer" Bernie. You can download it from Jim's site
