Well that was bloody cruel...

I only just made it onto the server. got in an out lap and one to try for qually...   passed over the finish line, BAM  got hit from behind and ended upside down.

Game had crashed.  not able to get back onto server.  was looking forwards to tonight as I actually know my way around this one.. and I had practiced a little.

hope the rest of you had a blast..

Tough luck there Paul .

I only need to find another 10secs per and I can maybe finish on the same lap as the leaders  Roll Eyes

Unlucky Paul. I always try to pull off the track at the end of qually, it is safer that way.

A good result for me, although I almost gave the final podium spot away on the last lap  Roll Eyes. I got past Bernie but that changed my normal line and I simply made a right mess of St Mary's. Thankfully I had enough time to reverse out of the haybales before Andreas sneaked past Cheesy

A great drive by Pete for the win. I thought Tris was out in front until I saw him looming large in my mirrors, it didn't take him long to blast past.

I like this track but I have a habit of overdriving it. Bailed out a couple of laps before the end when my ambition starting exceeding my ability.

A surprise victory for me tonight. Evil and Tris had an argument at T1 which left the door open for me. Cookie chased hard for a few laps but then disappeared. I made a gap from Angex and Phil and I knew that it was only a matter of time before Tris caught me. One more lap and he would have taken the chequered flag.

What a fun race. Thanks guys.   Grin

Congrats. to Pete of '68.  Returned to try my luck a second time.  I'm still learning how to drive these cars.  The best policy may be to  boot them early, and hard.  But this needs the corner to be pointing in the right direction!  I must've made Tom's forward progress interesting, when he lingered to study my learning curve for several laps.  I was happy to finish intact. Cool

To remove the fearful curse when racing these, I've changed every 13 into a 31.  As each car model is painted to represent it's actual 1968 appearance, at every 1968 race, it was not a 10 minute job!  Huge respect for the dedication to detail provided, for offline users of this Mod.

Yep, I was actually in second place for a while.  Smiley But then I threw it away, just like the third position later.  Sad But in the end I'm still satisfied with fourth place, the best of the rest.  laugh
Congratulations to all.  thumbup1
