UKGPL Season 43 - 1971 Can-Am - Dijon-Prenois - Oct 3


The next race in the 1971 CanAm series finds us at Dijon-Prenois, it is a 3.801 km (2.362 mi) motor racing circuit located in Prenois, near Dijon, France. The undulating track is noted for its fast, sweeping bends.Opened in 1972, Dijon-Prenois hosted the Formula One French Grand Prix five times, and the Swiss Grand Prix in 1982. The non-championship 1975 Swiss Grand Prix was also held at Dijon.

As we all know CanAm allways made rolling starts...

We do a ~62mph (100kmh) rolling one line start to the exit of Parabolique
No passing allowed!

Drivers must complete 50% race distance to score.
MOD INT - only One Shift-R is allowed with no need to make Stop & Go
Only reported incidents will be moderated.
Please, excepting emergencies, no chat until Session Completed in qualification. No chat in the race until ALL drivers still racing have crossed the line.

I often have this message "install.ini missing"

in this case, I manually create the subdirectory (here dijonp81) in the tracks directory
Then I move all the extracted files to this directory
and I rename the dat file in dijonp81.dat

 

Thanks, that worked great. I did some exploratory laps. I really like this track.  

I start Igor at 20,50 UK time but the race is with the symbol N/a(i think not allowed),why?

That was a super competitive race. The qually times were very quick and very close and that's how the race panned out. Apart from a battle with Pete in the early laps , I had a pretty lonely race. I didn't have the pace and consistency to keep up with the leaders and nobody made big enough mistakes to allow me to pick up any places. Cookie and Doni must have gone off at some stage because they dropped back into my sights but it wasn't long before they pulled away again. I was happy to finish and score some points. I can't blame the car, Enrique showed just how fast the Ferrari is!

I'm sure Cookie will set his server up for a practice for the next round (Hockenheim 1967) pretty soon. If you can join that then it suggests there is something wrong with your installation of dijonp81 (Note dijonp81 NOT dijon81, they are different)

I wanted to race today, but it was not meant to be. I hope to see you all at the next one. 

You are right Phil,my folder are dijonp73 and dijon81.Small detail not noticed
