Season 43 - 1955GP - Round 3 – BrnoFor the third race in the 1955 Grand Prix series we visit Brno in Czechoslovakia. The original circuit which dates from 1931 was approximately 18 miles (29 km) of public roads on the outskirts of Brno. The start was located in Bosonohy and it ran in an anti-clockwise direction through Kejbaly, Libusino, Kohouvotice, Žebětín, Ostrovacice and Veselka. The circuit retained this layout until 1937 when war brought racing to a close. In 1949 Brno re-opened and on 25 September 1949, a Grand Prix race was held on the street circuit. The race was run clockwise on a shorter 11.1 miles (17.8 km) layout, which turned right at Veselka, bypassed Ostrovacice and entered Žebětín from the south rather than the west. I don't think I will be able to race the next rounds with mod 1955.
When I push the green button to go on the track then a "shadow" rectangle appears over the bottom right corner of the screen, then the screen go back to iGor racelist (if I selected online) or the main GEM+ menu.
Last week, it was the case for all GPL mods but it has been solved (see topic CANAM71 race at Bathurst) ...except for mod55.
Phil sent me his Nvidia profile as we have more or less the same Win10 configuration and wrote a great guide for Nvidia profiler settings, but it didn't solve my issue.
If someone else has the same issue and could solve it, please let me know !

resolution ? I use 1024 X 768, is it that ? I will try another tomorrow, lower 800X600 or higher 1152X864 ? |

Yes, when I temporarily changed to the Software Renderer (not for racing but just to eliminate the OGL renderer for testing purposes) my resolution usually resets to 640 x 480. When I go back OGL v2 I have to change my resolution back to 3840 x 2160 (my normal setting). I've tried the Direct 3d v2 graphics option in GEM and I get the same crash back to GEM as you do. Are you trying to use the Direct 3D v2 renderer? If so that could be the problem. My 55GP installation only works with OGL v2. |

no, I use OGL V2 for all mods.
I changed to 1152x864 but it still cannot work.

The exact same thing happens to me but with 1965 mode. For the rest I was able to solve it using this solution : http://gplaltern.gplracer.eu/showthread.php?tid=410&page=2. post#16. But with 1965 mode it was impossible. I hope you can solve it, I will try to solve it with a standalone installation (it's the only thing I haven't tried). |

Well it is a mystery to me. All I can suggest is to go through the screenshots in my guide and check the profile was imported correctly. If so then go through the parameters one at a time to see if any make a difference. You have got all the DEP settings consistent with the other GPL executables so I suspect it is a graphics issue. Does the 55 mod run with the software renderer? I appreciate the performance is bad and it is undrivable but it would prove the DEP settings are OK. |

Yes I already added all the gpl.exe to the DEP in the windows settings but I didn't recalibrate the steering wheel.
Is it what you did ?

Else I would say it's an OS that makes all efforts to stop u using something they can't control...

It's a good idea ! Yes I have a system recovery for 21 september and we raced mod 55 at Brands Hatch on 24/09 but if the issue came from a windows update, it will be the same in a few days |

So make shure you have switched off the automatic updates for 3rd party drivers, to keep the nvidia driver at a working version  |
