Season 43 – 1967 F1 – Round 5 – Privateers  - Mexico
The 5th round in the 1967 Grand Prix series finds us at Mexico City. The Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez is a 4.304 km (2.674 mi) motorsport, named after the racing drivers Ricardo and Pedro Rodríguez. The circuit got its name shortly after it opened when Ricardo Rodríguez died in practice for the non-Championship 1962 Mexican Grand Prix. Ricardo's brother Pedro also lost his life behind the wheel nine years later.

Is there any issue using the updated track GFX from the recently released 1967 Track Pack? I haven't installed it, but thought it'd be best to check in-case some have already.  Smiley

Just for the non-Europeans,  be aware that the UK (& Europe) clocks change overnight tonight / before the race.
UK clocks go back 1 hour,  returning to GMT/UTC.

Phew... was enjoying that. I hope i clocked up enough laps for some points, not all lost then.

was fine at the back. all got a good start and no real problems through the first few corners, until sadly the hairpin on the very first lap, I entered the corner not too close at all to the car in front and i could see that no one was all over my gearbox so all good so far....

AAAHHH... but as I came around the corner there was I think a honda sitting sideways in front of me. luckily I saw it and stopped.. JUST !!

as Iwas sitting there waiting for the poor chap to get underway, of course some other cars came around the hairpin. I would have been harder to see as I was nearer the bend and not sideways. Not sure yet but I got a tap up the rear bumper.. I hope it didnt cause you any issues etc, as soon as we all could we were off again.

I thought at first the car seemed odd, but to be honest after the next few corners after the tyres warmed a little all was fine.

had some great laps with Albert and after a little while he took a spin, I took advantage of that and moved up a place. I thought i was doing ok until about 5 or 6 laps later I clipped a kerb.. luckily didnt spin out but lost lots of speed and ran wide.. I could hear Albert coming up behind me pretty quick so i stayed wide and let him through.

I hoped I could claim back the place as we had been running very close all the race so far.  But not to be after another great few Laps I got a bit close to Albert and hit the brakes a bit heavy and took a slide into the Armco..

OOPPS.. 3 wheels on my wagon and my race was over.. had been good fun up till then.   hope the rest of you guys finished OK.

Some good times up the front tonight .   good race guys thanks. Cheers for hosting.

I don't know what happened to you. On my point I didn't touch your car, there was a bit of spikes on our cars and Eric's Ferrari.
I took the chance to overtake you in that corner, it was the only moment I had an advantage.
I didn't have the intention to collide.

Congratz to the finishers!
