hi guys I had a very good race against Greg, I stayed more than half of the race enduring his attacks, it was very noticeable that he was studying me to achieve his goal, until he was able to overtake me, very well and I couldn't catch him anymore, I'm happy since I was able to give him a good race knowing that Gregory is the °KING° of the can am mod, and well, I really liked that restraint that I gave him, then there were several mistakes that almost made me lose 2nd place against a very strong Tom, that we passed the goal by thousandths of a second, what a beautiful definition..... I must thank Phil Thornton a lot for the draft he gave me in qualifying so I could take pole position..... I tried to give him the same thing later, but he always came like gum stuck to evil...... one of the best races I have ever run and nothing more and nothing less than against the max, I felt very Sergio Perez There is only one race left and I hope to be able to fight for the runner-up position, that would be very good.... See you in 15 days for the last one guys, thanks

I was not able to find a correct setup for this track ... I tried different things but nothing worked : chassis height, suspensions and many others which I have no idea of the English words Every time, my M8F was scraping the ground at the bankings so I had to slow down... My worst race for this season 43 at this moment !

So I finally managed to put together a decent drive in the '71 CanAms. It's been a disappointing season with a lack of competitiveness and many errors. Only bit of drama was a pucker moment when I went a bit wide entering T1 on Lap08 and came dangerously close to going off onto the grass. Managed to save it. Other than that, it was a dream run. I opted for the McLaren M8F for this round and selected the default mirror option. Utterly hopeless. Couldn't see a bloody thing behind me all day long. With Axel and Evil Clive being close enough to make bids on passing, it was a tense situation and I'm just relieved to see that I didn't carve them up. Speaking of Clive, what a splendid run! I would not have bet even a farthing on that Ferrari to perform as well. Impressive to say the least. Only a fluke spin took him out of the running for a podium. At 1/3 distance, Tom came roaring up to challenge me and it wasn't long before he blew by on the first straight. I was able to hang on quite well despite my using only gears 2-3-4. There's more than enough torque available in these monsters to get off corners well. From 1/2 distance onward, it was a matter of staying with Tom and challengers were dropping back. Late in the going, I actually managed to reclaim P3 for a brief time before TJ stormed by once again and in the last laps, he simply disappeared with a spurt of speed that I couldn't match. Got the M8F home in P4. Greg a solid win in the Shadow. Ricky survives to claim P2. Tom right on his tail for P3. Any penalty for the pole sitter for ignoring the pace lap mandate? Hope so. What's the point of posting rules for a pace lap when they are ignored? I'd say a 10 second time adder would be in order. Would suit me down to the ground.

Congratulations Enrique and Tom! We got lucky Tom was late.
Enrique did well for the first half of the race. I don't know how he kept his tires from catching on fire. He was sliding all over the place. I had to be very smooth and I could only run one line to keep my tires from over heating. Enrique, I was very cautious the first 5 laps. By lap 6 I started looking for a way that I might pass. Enrique defended his position well by keeping me from getting inside of him on the back straight. I also had no confidence that I could out brake him into T1. I tried passing him on the outside in the banking and while crossing the finish line. My car was not fast enough and that tactic only overheated my tires. He finally made a mistake coming on to the oval. He lost his momentum and I was able get beside him exiting the first banking. I must have been using less wing to power past him on the back straight. Then once I had the lead, Enrique went off at T1 losing a few seconds. He needed to be as cautious as I was early in the race. I increased my lead until I ran wide at the International Horseshoe. I lost a few seconds there and let Enrique back into a little of my slipstream. He made another mistake and then he couldn't get back in my tow again. I didn't realize how much concentration I needed until the race was finished. I was ready to relax when we finished.
Had Tom not been late, he would have had a good chance at the win. Finishing 12 seconds back after starting P9 is great! It's cold enough here that Enrique didn't make me sweat but Tom likely would have if he had not started so far behind.
Dave, my setup wasn't great either. Another hour of qualifying might have helped me a lot. Sometimes, you need very stiff springs to keep the car from bottoming. I copied my M8F setup from 2015 and it needed a lot work to correct the camber settings and try to keep the right rear tire from overheating. I gradually got smoother and more consistent throughout qualifying. I was still wanting to make changes to the car by the time qualifying ended.
Thanks for the fun gentlemen and congrats again Enrique and Tom.

Would suit me down to the ground. In reality I had no idea that I could have any penalty, if so, I apologize and welcome that punishment, if it is DQ, no problem, I did not read the pole instructions in this race and perhaps that is why I made a foul . He left it to the judges' discretion. thank you

Great race with Doni for many laps and then Enrique toward the end. Once we caught Enrique, I was able to pull away from Doni with the help of the slipstream. Doni, sorry my car was so unstable in the final banking, the right rear tire was red and the car kept wanting to dive down the banking. Had I not been so late for this race, I might have been able to make the car a little more stable before the start of the race.
