UKGPL Season 44 - 1966 Can-Am -  Spa67 - Feb 6


The second race in the CanAm 66 series finds us at Spa Francorchamps on the classic F1 track, some love it other fear it, but it is still a milestone in GPL tracks history

We do a ~100mph (160kmh) rolling one line start to the exit of Les Combes
No passing allowed!

Please READ CAREFULLY THE RULES :

A driver must cross the start line in order to register the use of a chassis, participation in qualifying is not sufficient.
Drivers are reminded that Lap 1 incidents carry an extra 1 place penalty.
Drivers must complete 50% race distance to score.
MOD INT - only One Shift-R is allowed with no need to make Stop & Go
Only reported incidents will be moderated.
Please, excepting emergencies, no chat until Session Completed in qualification. No chat in the race until ALL drivers still racing have crossed the line.

THERE ARE MORE THAN 19 REGISTERED DRIVERS IN THIS SERIES, SO :
The full time drivers can start to practice as soon as the server is available.  Reserve drivers can also join as soon as the server becomes available but must leave the server with 35 minutes of qualifying left, for a total of 5 minutes; this will allow any remaining full timers to join.  If there is enough space on the grid, the reserve drivers will be able to rejoin when there are 30 mins of qualifying left.

A big step forward for this actually unfinished mod, too bad with these great racing cars...

I think that you have missed the rules for this series Dimi. There are NO tokens, but you have 10 cars and 10 races. You must use each car once, and ONLY once.

The tokens shown on the championship page are a default setting that is automatic, so you can ignore those. Just be sure not to use any car for more than a single race.

Yes, the problem is that some people do never read or understand the race post!

Please help spamming the pre race chat with "rolling start" to make the last driver aware 

and only one shift-R / reset allowed.
 

 

Despite the only 4 gears i was not so slow but a second mistake end my race.As in the prevoius years i think that there is something with UKgpl8 and Fairshift.In the past we have tested 2 different server and in one all was ok.If the problem persist i think that i must abbandon the canam66 since,if i'm not wrong,remain for me only 1 car with 2 gears.

Fran, you as a mod team member should know that such physics are only on the player pc, the server has no idea how you shift...

A shame Greg had not read the ROLLING START hints...

But Axel,if you remeber,in the past with Phil we have tested the 2 server.In 1 all was Ok in the other no.I 'm not able to find an explanation but i remeber this test.
