Season 44 F1 1967 PRIVATEERS – Round 3 –  Balcarce
For the third race in the 1967 Grand Prix Privateers series, we will visit Balcarce in Argentina.  Balcarce was the birthplace of the legendary Argentinian driver Juan Manuel Fangio and we will be racing on the circuit that bears his name. The Autódromo Juan Manuel Fangio was opened in his honour on 18th January 1971. The circuit has hosted events in the Turismo Carretera series but it has never hosted Formula 1 races and to this day remains rather underdeveloped.

THERE ARE MORE THAN 19 REGISTERED DRIVERS IN THIS SERIES, SO :
The full time drivers can start to practice as soon as the server is available.  Reserve drivers can also join as soon as the server becomes available but must leave the server with 35 minutes of qualifying left, for a total of 5 minutes; this will allow any remaining full timers to join.  If there is enough space on the grid, the reserve drivers will be able to rejoin when there are 30 mins of qualifying left.

Please check the Season 44 details regarding rules and the 1967 F1 Privateers Championship pages in particular.

Please use the Track Gap Freeze Fix Patch V.09 for all on-line races.

Please READ CAREFULLY THE RULES :
A driver must cross the start line in order to register the use of a chassis, participation in qualifying is not sufficient.

The tokens system will be used with drivers being awarded tokens for starting the season and for starting each race. Each car will cost a number of tokens per race.

Drivers are reminded that Lap 1 incidents carry an extra 1 place penalty.

Drivers must complete 50% race distance to score.

MOD PRO so no shift-R

Only reported incidents will be moderated.

Please, excepting emergencies, no chat until Session Completed in qualification. No chat in the race until ALL drivers still racing have crossed the line.

This is a season file issue. Make sure that you select the same season in Gem as the actual entry is.

GEM keeps telling me  ***Not installed Balcarce
Also I notice thereare  3 entries for Kialami , two on page 2 , one on page 4  but only have 1 Kia listed in GEM 67 season ?

Obviously something wrong here in season.ini ?

My season.ini  (after I manually updated "name" and trackshortname, which have no importance at all, we can also change "flag")

so it looks the same as your file.

@David you still have saflag of Kyalami. Wink

Whenever the season manager of GEM+ messes the season67.ini by "sorting" it it looses info, it does insert Kyalami as first GP.ini track instead.
So
Don't let sort a seasonXX.ini automaticly in GEM+ season manager

If you want to have a new track a place in the season - go to successor - mark it - and then insert the new.

Grats on the win Ricardo, your pole time was quick enough for pole in the Works! The standard in the Privateers is very high this season  I Am Not Worthy

It looks like Matt is getting to grips with GPL, qualified on the front row and a top 5 finish! Well done  Grin

Exactly Phil, this season is very competitive, I was a little lucky not to destroy the glass engine of the Lotus, as it is a very fast car for this track, congratulations to the podium and everyone who participated, full grid

Well, that was some masterclass by Ricardo in how to just be much faster everywhere! Congratulations on the win.

Luckily I managed to grab a decent start position my spending tokens & obtaining a personal best in the Q session by 0.571 seconds.

Unlucky Matt, don't know what happened yet (but I guess it was something to do with the yellow flag at T1)  but otherwise I'd never had caught you.

Apologies to all for contact in the race. I got hit from behind L1 T1R, then I hit somebody on the same lap at the hairpin right after the 2nd segment. Started climbing back through the field and collided again with somebody in the Esses around lap 10. Just got too impatient so withdrew before I ruined somebody else's race.

Molteni came out of the pits in qualifying, directly impeding the beginning of my first hot lap, something that's so wrong on so many levels that I was still grinding my teeth about it some laps later when I did exactly the same thing to Billy and caused a crash that knocked both of us senseless. I've got no excuse. The only comfort that I take is that Molteni has even less of one since he's done this to me before. Does the word "Pribluda" mean anything? I admit, I clearly misread mine, but at least I looked at it before coming onto the track.

And then on the first lap of the race, we've got guys --- plowing from the back of the field on a mission from their personal sky wizard --- who've decided that they can win the race by getting to the first corner before anyone else. This isn't the first time that such suicidal conduct has happened. Hear me now: You can't. You're in the back of the pack on the qualifying grid because you're not as fast as the guys who're ahead of you. Try a little discipline for once in your life.

I started sixth and finished sixth and didn't make a single significant mistake along the way. I would have done better if I'd been faster than the guys ahead of me. That seems almost too obvious to mention, but I do so because apparently it isn't.

A. Petra, sorry for the crash in T1, a few days ago I received a new steering wheel -G29- and I'm getting used to it.
