Each year we try to make this series a little bit different and hopefully more entertaining than normal League racing, so this year you have the .... Gentleman's British Grand Touring Cup Normally in any League race we use the maximum powered option for whatever mod we are racing. This ignores the 2 slower classes available with every carset, that is the Novice Trainer or the Advanced Trainer cars. So we are going to use these options to give us some cars that gentlemen racers might use, as opposed to a full Works car. The races will all use the 1966 Can Am cars, but without the monster Yank V8's, instead we will have the much more civilised Rover V8 (under "Advanced Trainer"). All drivers will have a free choice of car as basically ALL cars will have the same power, but Pro drivers will have to take one StopnGo just to even things up a little. The SnG can be taken on any lap except the first lap or the last lap. The second race will be at Boreham Airfield Unlimited number of Shift-Rs are allowed with no need to make Stop & Go. Hello, Clive... Does this round not collide with a schedule F2 race on April 09?
Edit: Noting Phil's post below. Thanks, PT.

There was a mistake in the calendar which was corrected a while ago, I suspect you noted down the dates in your diary when the calendar was first published. The F2 race dates are:
26/03/2024 Tuesday 20:30 GMT Ingliston 1968 23/04/2024 Tuesday 20:30 BST Snetterton 67
Please note the time zone. The UK (and most countries in Europe) daylight saving changes come into effect on 31/3/2024

BTW, the CA66 mod AT engine, which is in all cars, has max power around 6,500 rpm. All the cars are 4 speeds with a top speed of around 177 to 181 mph on a long oval.

I would like to take part in this one as well, Clive. BTW, does the S&Go for Pro drivers applies for this one as well?

So what counts is weight and handling... I will take the product of Jim Hall again, imo the best of this time https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0rXyMwFMUI+ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7nW3cKpo_U

Yes Dimi. All PRO drivers ( you know who you are ) are required to perform a single SnG in the pitlane during the race. This will hopefully give the AMS a chance to close the gap or even pass the aliens. Any S/R resets DO NOT require a stop. TBH I think the cold tyres and full fuel load is a big enough penalty in these cars lol.

I ran one of the Lolas in practice for the last race. Axel pointed out that the Chappy was lighter, therefore faster true of course. But I sometimes find that a heavier car is more stable, and I can push more with less fear of losing it. For here, the lighter cars are faster, and this track is more forgiving than Goodwood, so faster is easier Another well made Pete track I have never run here before, so I may be slower than Goodwood Which I know quite well. Don't worry DD, it is unlikely I will be in your videos unless you fall off somewhere
