1966 mod will be featured in the UKGPL season 15. If you want to participate, you'll obviously need to install the mod. Here's the link to the mod site:

Esentially, you need updated GPL (via all-in-one patch or GPLPS), latest GEM+ (http://gem.ebi-service.de/) and the mod itself, from the above link. And you have yourself additional 16 cars Smiley.

There has been some debate about what is the fastest chassis in the 66 mod.  This isn't as simple to determine for the 66 mod as it is for the 67 cars.  Out of the original 67 cars the Lotus is invariably the fastest chassis with the notable exception of Spa where the Eagle is marginally quicker.  For the circuits where world record data is available (as at mid Jan 08); the chassis have been sorted out according to the world records and listed in the following table (fastest chassis at the top).  On the few occasions where the WR is vacant the chassis appears at the bottom and is annotated with an *.

As you can see the same chassis isn't aways the fastest.  The Ferrari 312 is fastest at 3 circuits and the Brabham BT19 Repco is fastest at 4 circuits.

If a race was held at each of the tracks in the previous post and the results mirrored the world record standings.  Awarding points according to UKGPL's point scoring system would give some indication as to the performance of a chassis over an entire season rather than in any particular race.

The table below shows how this works out and implies that the Brabham BT19 Repco is slightly better than the Ferrari 312 over a season.  As the world records improve this situation may change but it does give some indication of the relative performance of the various chassis over a season.

The actual points scoring races the chassis competed in have been included in the table.  It makes an interesting comparison.
