Season 15 – Historic Trophy (66mod)

The races will be run as follows:

Car set: 66 F1 only
Date: Every second Tuesday from 1st April 2008
Time: 9:00pm (30 mins practice, race starts at 9:30pm)
Race Length: Long
Damage Model:  Intermediate
Server: 3.UKGPL

I'd love to give the 66s a go, but unfortunately Tuesday aren't really convenient.

The mods discussed this at some length.  The problem with running the 66 race on a Sunday is that it was bound to clash with one of the 67 races.  The 66 race is open to drivers of all abilities so someone is bound to want to double up and so we will have cases where drivers want to do either Masters + Historic or D1 + Historic or Clubmans + Historic.  We could arrange the times so the races are sequential rather than concurrent but not many people would want to run one race straight after another and certainly not in different car sets. Hence we went for a Tuesday night since that night was well supported in the 40th Anniversary division we ran in Season 14.

We will have to see how popular the 66 mod is (looking very positive ATM).  It may be that for Season 16 we have 2 x 67 races and 2 x 66 races.  They could be run on alternate weekends, a 66 weekend then a 67 weekend.  And then there are the 69s, we haven't done enough with that mod IMO.

Great idea for Season 16 Phil doing alternate Sundays to involve both car sets but I do agree that a 69 season would be awesome to see as well at some point.
