Dammit!!!!!  Been away for a couple of days sorting out work and I miss the cut. 

Ah well never mind. Clive if there's room after Bully then count me in please.

As there is no date set as yet, and inevitably there will be one or maybe more who cannot be available, we are going to need more drivers to come forward.
Also, as the intention is to have a spread of ability ( although the temptation to have all tentacles and green scaly skin in each car is very seductive, I shall resist but we will have a couple of the reptilian brigade as will GBGPL  ) so I need a good spread from all divisions to balance the team (s).
Don't worry if your GPL rank is not somewhere near absolute zero ( -273 when I was at school !! , but that has probably chaged now we are decimal  lol ) I hope we can arrange this so that we have good scraps right down through the field, with people racing strangers ( or not so strange ) of similar abilities.

PLUS  ..... if there is enough interest ( say enough for another team of 5-6? from each league) we will consider running a second race on the same evening so that everyone can participate and maybe we add the scores from each race together for added spice...who knows?

I hope we get a lot of interest, because this could become a regular event/challenge series where all levels have a chance to compete and contribute.
This is just the prologue, or test race just to see how it will work, what interest there is, and if both sides enjoy it. If it does become a regular event, I'm sure ( I hope) that we can keep it fair and balanced and we can all enjoy the racing and not necessarily end up with two whole teams of uber-aliens lapping at warp speeds that us mere mortals can only dream of.

there's only 2 alien drivers that are active in ukgpl anyways; Hristo and Lorenzo. So you won't have to worry about too many alien drivers.

Art, by all means put your name down.  I've only given a provisional 'yes' as weeknights can be quite busy for me.  I'd rather someone who can give a definite answer take the place than someone such as myself who only might be able to make it.

As for the schedule, Wednesday looks the most promising and as it's a UK vs GB race, then a British circuit is surely the obvious choice (think of the carbon footprint  ).

Silverstone gets my vote.

Ok we are beginning to get some decent response....

I will wait until after this evenings League races, where we can all spread the word and see if a few more are willing to pit themselves against the mighty GBGPL.

If we get a few more I think we could maybe start looking at a double header, with two races utilising all drivers. Now that could get very tactical , as to which drivers are used in each race.
But let's not enumerate the poultry before they have emerged from their shells.
