It's ok Pete, as soon as you discover the secrets of the mighty H16 there's no car that Hristo will be able to keep you behind with. Soon he'll be the one being lapped.  Cheesy

The rule was there and i except it .

But as you rightly say me in a BRM and Hristo in anything i am going to struggle to not get lapped  as i raced to hold the lump together . No good setting a blistering lap and the engine going pop inside 6 laps .

I am actually over the moon i even got it to the flag which for me is an achievement .

I would also like to point out i had to cede to everyone as i was a lap down and it would have been unfair to race anyone from that position , do we not agree?.

Pete

Thanks for taking a very sporting attitude about that Pete.
Maybe next time  , with you in a Lotus?  GBGPL will be invincible. Lets face it, you were damn close this time Roll Eyes thanks to my generosity on the last but one lap Grin

We do seem to have some great races between the two groups and I hope we can keep this going as a regular fixture. I personally need to settle a score with Bosse...I got fed up breathing Brabham fumes for so many laps,. Maybe my accident was because I was suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning???

It was a good race in the beginning with Roo ( Shocked ) making the better of the start and going into the lead and he was fast on cold tyres and full tanks as well as being fast on the straight, so passing him wasn't an option early on. Eventually I got a good run out of the last corner and made it through. He managed to keep the pace for quite a few laps after that, but later dropped back and I could relax a bit. As far as I remember backmarkers behaved well and I could push for some fast laps near the end.
Phil, I really don't expect people to just get out of the way the moment they see me on their mirrors, I can make a pass on my own as long as they don't try to race me when I go side by side with them. So if possible just ignore me and don't worry about it, I don't want to spoil anyone else's race.
