Moderator's Report

A solid maiden win for ginsters. I've asked both ginsters and Sam to move up to the Amateurs for the next race at Brands, as they were well ahead and Brands will be tricky for less consistent drivers. However, should any of the chasing pack score enough points, Sam may return for an ever-so-slightly contrived final race to decide the championship at Monza...

L1 Start/Finish

Al was slow away and Mike attempted to go around him to the inside, cutting across Norbert. Norbert was pushed into Peter and there were two further collisions between them before they could recover control, also Vlad lost control when he had to avoid them.

This was a multi-car incident so I'm not inclined to allow a request that no penalty be awarded. Mike had the option to go around Al on the other side, but it might have been better just to slow. A further place is lost for an L1 incident.

L1 Copse

As Steve found at Rouen, one accident often leads to another. Mike took the inside line at Copse but drifted wide on his exit. However, the contact with Geoff as Geoff pulled ahead of him was warp.

Geoff is allowed a free reset. Mike took a stop-and-go at the end of the lap, which was both commendable and right if he wanted to allow other drivers past, rather than to wait for them at the start, which could have caused further accidents. However, it wasn't necessary by the rules.

L3 Becketts

Sam span at Becketts and Asbjeurn collided with him, with Clutch being forced wide.

Sam made a good rejoin by waiting, though he was stopped in the middle of the track, until the other following drivers had passed.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 0h06m19s

L4 Club

Asbjeurn outbrakes Clutch into Club and Clutch follows too closely, though the contact is warp and doesn't seem to affect Asbjeurn.

  • Racing incident

Err, guilty as charged. Although my pace was good it was a step into the unknown, being my first GPL race, last night and I appreciate that I have been given time to find my feet. To the Ams and back down to earth, with a bump no doubt, I will come  Smiley

That said, I thoroughly enjoyed that and racing with Pete and Asbjeurn was great fun  Smiley

No need to wait until then.  It's 66mod at Silverstone this Tuesday. Grin

And if it's all the same to you, we don't mind if you miss out the bump!  It's PRO rules in this one.
