Sorry about my no show tonight. Have decided VROC is a pile of shite. First it removed my Pribluda - spent hours trying to recover it. More importantly I can't join races due to a bandwidth mismatch. Have followed the topic on UKGPL ( Steve B1rD 26 Feb 09) with no joy. Also screwed up my connections through IGOR, which were fine before I put this shite on my machine. Will probably get it sorted at some stage. Why if GPL so bloody complicated?

Worth the effort though  Wink
I'd say it's core.ini problems though not sure why it would affect Prib... Will have a look at your settings Bill.

I assume you changed the ip address for VROC with the patch?

VROC was around long before IGOR and the 65, 66 and 69 mods so it expects everything to be just like the original GPL game which isn't the case if you've installed the mods.  When you installed Pribluda it should have modified the original GPL.exe.  That is the one used by VROC.  GEM+2 modifies the original exe to create GPLc65.exe, GPLc66.exe, GPLc67.exe and GPLc69.exe.  One for each of the mods and one for the original 67 carset.  When GEM+2 creates these new executables it uses the original GPL.exe so if this was patched with Pribluda, all your new executables will also be patched with Pribluda.  I'm not sure what exactly went wrong but if you patch the original exe with pribluda and then run GEM+2 in VROC mode everything should work.

If you are experiencing BW mismatch, you should be able to correct this by editing your core.ini file.  If you have the following settings you shouldn't have any problems:

net_mdm_client_send_every = 3              ; Client packet freq on dialup
net_mdm_client_send_size = 84              ; Client packet size on dialup
net_mdm_server_send_every = 3              ; Server packet freq on dialup
net_mdm_server_send_size = 384              ; Server packet size on dialup
net_server_port = 0                        ; Server port number (0 = default)
net_use_mdm_bandwidth_for_tcp_ip = 1       ; Use modem bandwidthfor TCP/IP

When you join in VROC:

Go to server tab
In drop down menu under GPL Bandwidth Settings
Select "Use Core.ini Settings"

I can set a server off on VROC and IGOR anytime you want to test your connection (well almost) what about tomorrow after 9:00pm?

Minor apology for my rant yesterday. Thanks for the guidance Phil.

I managed to track down the guidance on core-ini settings. They were fine & not the problem.

Big thanks to John Roberts. Problem was the bandwidth patch which needed to be reset. So simple when you know how!

All seems to be up & running now.
