I don't remember who said what, and i'm sure people of your league are very nice.
Lets forget that incident and after all, i did 1.15.0 (ok with draft), it will be the good thing tonight!
2:15 I suppose you mean and that's definitelly D1 material! I couldn't crack 18s and that's with a slipstream, lol. Paul, Clive, Clive and some guy I don't know (G.L.) were battling together and that allowed me to catch up after messing up Para on lap 1. Then we had endless number of slipstreaming battles lap after lap. Eventually it led to a collision between Clive and Paul, but Clive was able to continue and soon caught up with us. I hit the wall to hard on the exit of Lesmo 1 when we had 23 laps to go and got a puncture, which was eventually losing me 4 seconds a lap (that's about a second per each proper right hander). But the two Clives wrecked each other, so I inherited the lead for a while, until the others catch up. On the last lap I was running 3rd and Geoff went through, but I got under his slipstream and took 3rd back after he sort of let me have it. Very good fun, but I'd really prefer a shorter race for such a track if we're to have fun. It was quite zzz to do 20 laps on my own. One other thing is, it should be intermediate damage with shift-r allowed. It's not for points or anything, so I don't see reason to have pro damage and frustrate people who crash out early. Great fun with the slipstream anyway! -=Hristo=- P.S. I had 2.75 front wing and 1.25 rear on the Ferrari, but was still unable to pass a Matra in its slipstream! Wasn't expecting such a difference.

Grats to Grzegorz Lenarciak.
AH! That's the winner's name, yes, congrats! I don't think I can memorize your name though, sorry. Apologies to anyone that found the server full. I didn't think these summer races would prove so popular and due to holidays we are currently down to one IGOR server. About time someone breaks the code for the 20 ppl server host limit too.

Blame me for any shortcomings . I came up with the summer stuff to try different things (wait till the next one ), so an endurance race seemed different. My reasoning for PRO was to introduce the unknown. If we had a reset we might as well set it to 50 or 150 laps, it would just be a case of last man to fall asleep.

Ah, OK, I suppose you want to test our endurance and level of madness. Bring it on then!

My Ferrari served max topspeed inside slipstream behind an Matras of 321kmh , during my offline test here. without any car in front 296kmh (PB still pur 2-18-35 ) .. whats yours have been Hristo ?

Apologies to anyone that found the server full. I didn't think these summer races would prove so popular and due to holidays we are currently down to one IGOR server.
I had Gladys warmed up and ready to go but when I asked in the chat room if we would all fit on one server nobody paid any attention. At that point there were 18 in chat and I could see that a number of people were not there who I expected to race. Since there was no pw people could also join directly, plus the possibility of passing trade, so it was clear that it would be full. My internet connection would not be up to running a server plus my racing on another so when everyone just started piling in I had to shut Gladys down and get in there myself. As for the race it was great fun but Evil and I didn't take each other out, as H has suggested, we had help. As we approached the pits we found Stefan Stein's Lotus, stationary and sideways across the track. LOL He had run into the end of the pit wall at full chat. I had wondered how many people had run into the darn thing whilst trying to read their pit board. Anyway, by the time I could see him it was too late to miss him. Evil lost a couple of wheels but I was able to carry on but the impact had convinced the engine that it was sick and so I pulled over. Shame, because I don’t often find myself in a position to put one over on Hristo or Evil but my setup was giving me a definite edge. LOL Most of the time they pulled out of my slip stream and then went backwards. Very reassuring. I never found anyone to give me a tow but I think I might match Gerard’s 2:15 if I could get tucked in behind someone. Thanks for the fun!

That was a ball-breaker!. 80 odd minutes of plodding round on my own after an unscheduled excursion to the beach off Parabolica on L1, when the brakes refused to work and felt like someone had forgotten to put pads in the calipers. and 6 minutes of heavy drafting and tomfoolery when I managed to see another car. Traded blows in the 10ths of seconds with Al Heller, pinching 6-7/10ths here and there, with Al responding and taking a similar margin back, for what seemed like an eternity. The margin hung around 11-12 seconds for around about 12-15 laps until the fuel weight started to come off, and I could squeeze out a short run 2:21 and eventually the pitboard showed Al was only 8 seconds distant. Then I started seeing skid marks in the high speed braking areas.....I thought I may have been pulling in chunks of time on someone that was having difficulties. I was correct as with 3 laps left, Hristo's Fezza, wounded by a touch on the wall and a slow-leaking left front tyre, hove into view. I set my fastest lap 2:20.5 on lap 32, just catching a sniff of Hristo's draft........finally catching up at the Parabolica on the last lap. I wasn't intending to pass him there, but his deflating tyre caused him to slow and understeer wide....leaving me the inside line to exit ahead and in 3rd place. He promptly camped in my draft and shadowed me along the straight, onto the banking.....where he wound the Fezza up on the last chute to the final strech of banking. I elected to hold the tighter, shorter low line as the car had driven that line well for the entire race, and as Hristo had the slingshot from the draft I thought it better to make him go the long way around. I had to lift slightly crossing the 'hump' onto the banking, to avoid climbing up over the centre line and wrecking us both, in the end unable to peg him back enough in the race for the line....Congratulations to the podium, you're all men of steel. I'm happy with my last-to-fourth drive, consistent and with very few mistakes. Geoff.

We don't normally load fun race replays to Mike's server re space issues but if you want the replay you can get it here; http://www.megaupload.com/?d=NIGOTUQORe the race server being chocka. Part of the driving force behind these races, as well as providing some fun for UKGPL members, was to encourage others to participate who might well then decide to join us. Pleased to see some new faces already. So I'm reluctant to start passwording them. Next time, if we look full up in chat, I'll run my home PC if there isn't an available server for a second grid. We need to avoid spending 30 minutes sorting out who goes where though - there was one race where we had one server full and the back-up only had three contestants. Maybe we just say split alphabetically by chat name? Nice to be victims of our own success though

Spent about an hour of that race shouting "Oh give it a rest Geoff!" at my prib screen . I was running in the last podium spot & Mr Heard was pursuing me relentlessly about 10 secs behind. I knew that once he caught up to my slipstream I was the proverbial cooked goose so had to drive out of my skin just to maintain the gap, but lap after lap we nicked/gained time without either of us having any spins. Great stuff. In the end, I reckon I was only saved by an ailing Hristo whose damaged Ferrari gave me a enough of a tow boost to save me from Geoff's clutches. During the 1st part of the race had a great 3-way battle with Tim & Grzegorz. Was lucky to escape any damage after clonking a spinning Tim at Para pretty hard. After that we both recovered & were enjoying an epic battle until Tim's engine blowup spoilt the fun. Anyway congrats to Grzegorz & all the drivers who made it to the end of this marathon. As ever, thanks to the Clark-Hill team for the setups & advice . Oh & thanks to the server for giving me an authentic 1969 psychedelic colour scheme - bright orange brabham & lime green helmet

Well I really flew at the 10K..... about 200 ft above the North banking that is It all went wrong into Grande curve on Lap 1, as I left room for the Matra on the inside and ended up rail running my way round the turn. A few laps later I had a coming together at the exit of the South Turn when the car on the inside moved out, probably the G forces on the exit and we both had a spin down the Start straight. I had speed and was able to catch the cars in front, Al & his trio, as mentioned above, and got past after a Lotus spun in Parabolica. However Al was able to slipstream up to me along with a Lotus. Entering the North Curve on lap 9 I ws in the lead and looked in my mirrors to see a car a 100 yds or so behind. What I didn't know was that Al was right behind me on the inside and drew alongside as we rounded the curve. Thinking it was All Clear I started to come off the high line as we approached the end of the bend and then BOOM !! Sky - Trees - track - guard rail - sky - trees - trees - trees -earth ! From you post Al I assume I didn't compromise your race. My fault for assuming I was all alone Is it possible to get a radar display for GPL ?? Pribula is too hard to read at 191 mph

Ideal for something like this but srou is not set up for it. Also we don't want to force people to register at UKGPL although we'd like them too
